So this is Love: Disneymoon pre-Trippie April 2008: Updated 2/9/08

I hope that your mom loves the church you have chosen!

Me too... I will post pictures when I get back! I will be updating again after the meeting with the planner and then again after the parent meeting and then again after the church/reception visit. I also am going on a hunt again for wedding dress patterns. O, we are also going to hunt down a hotel for the night before and the night of the wedding... Waaaaahhh things are going to get complicated!:scared:

Hello Out There in Dis-land!

The pre-trippe is no longer a work in progress but an actual planning journal for a Wedding and Disneymoon!  I have actually received the first copy of the guest lists from both sets of parents! This is an amazing feat. I have been after these numbers since July!

First Count:
Jimenez Family: 115
Larsen Family: 160
Total of : 275

Maximum Number: 250

Yeah, we have work to do.

I talked about it with my planner and we are going to be selective with the reception and let anyone go to the ceremony but only have "VIP" guests go to the reception. This will help with the numbers.

I am going to start a name indexing system using 3X5 cards and keeping ceremony only vs all day guests separate. This will be how I keep track if I have sent invitations with the correct info. I thought this was pretty smart as there are some people I know will not have fun at the reception as it will be big and have lots of loud music and somewhat not "PG" dancing. I can't help but get down with by badself. If I feel a good beat, my tooshie cant help but to bounce along with it.

Okay... the big news my planner provided three options to start looking at color options and decorations. Here they are!

OPTION 1

OPTION 2
Option2.jpg

OPTION 3
Option3.jpg

Each is set to a different time of day, but I can mix things up if I really want to. I will let you guys know: SHE IS AMAZING! I had barely talked to her about what I wanted and I think she captured it perfectly. If anyone is getting married in the NWC pm me and I will send you her information. She is reasonably priced and knows her stuff. I had told her pink and red. I told her I wanted something semi-formal. That was what she came up with after one meeting and an email! Our next one is on the 7th of September. I am so excited to be able to have a guest list somewhat made.

My favorite is the first option. I like the second one next and the third one last (only because I dont see myself having a night reception). Okay guys let me know what you think. I am way open to suggestions.

My planner is totally excited with the Disney theme. We are thinking about having apples (Snow White) to let people know where to sit.

I also think I may have found my reception favors at an online wholesale store. They are pink and red heart candles. In addition, we are thinking of burning Cds of music played at the wedding to give one to each family. the candles come out to be like under 20 cents per person. I can't beat those prices. :thumbsup2 I will the individually wrap each candle and add a note with the date and names.

The other option is to hand out tea bags. (I like raspberry tea because it matches our theme) I also found these at the whole sale store online!

Anyways, that is all I have for right now. I'll hopefully have something new posted soon.

I like the first one as well. Really great TR. Can't wait for more!!!!!

HELLO! Joining the FUN!! I love your report . . .

I'm only 21 and getting married! I'm in that club =)

I would def need to make a wedding binder just like yours - Fire Your wedding planner right??? From stephie?? I used to get those emails - but for some reason, I don't get them anymore =( . . . but with your results, I'm thinking of getting the REAL thing!

I need to do more research about the disneymoons - I'm so lost . . . but I know I can get 99.99% of the answers to my questions here on DIS.

Looking forward to more!!

I really like #1. It seems a lot more flirty and fun. But, I also liked the drama of the red and black. It's so hard to pick colors. I wanted chocolate brown and whisper pink. But, my DF put a heavy no on that one even though its such a popular combination now. We finally decided on aqua, lavender and silver.

My eyes went cross-eyed looking at all the combinations!

Okay guys, I am exhausted so I am going to keep this somewhat short...

Good News I made my vacation package...

I am now proud owner of a magic your way + water par and more vacation package. :) I also extended my trip by two days.

Now we have a full ten days to play in the parks and half a day at the beginning!

DF does not like to start planning things this early but he caved in! He saw how happy I was and did not want to make me sad. We came up with a backbone to our vacation... just until EMH are announced and then everything will change again.

So we just settled our park days. Hopefully I will be able to post the breakdown of the park days. DF likes to be in charge. i tend to stress out a little bit too much. (Although, I have to say, without me, we woud have never been able to do everything in Universal Studios Hollywood in one day. I am talented if I do say so myself. He planned the DL part. He was so cute!)

Sunday April 6th : Midnight flight out of SeaTac airport
Monday April 7th: Arrive in FL 10am... ME... Check in... Drop bags off/explore POP while we ait for room... DTD in the evening (Disney Quest, Disney Store to get our bride and groom ears!), Dinner and a Movie? This will be a very relaxed night.
Tuesday April 8th: Epoct FW: We have done Soarin so many times... we may actually skip it... Please dont shoot, wait until I am out of the way... okay hiding behind DF :rotfl:, illuminations?
Wednesday April 9th: Epcot WS!!! Yay, we are giving this a full day because we love the idea of traveling and not needing another plane ticket. I think Le Cellier's or Biergarten. I do want crepes and funnel cakes. I also want a margerita from Mexico.
Thursday April 10th: MGM, and a night time show Wishes, Spectro, Fantasmic?
Friday April 11th: Finish MGM, water racers in the afternoon?
Saturday April 12th: Waterpark in the morning, miniature golfing, DTD evening or a Resort Dinner
Sunday April 13th: Animal Kingdom
Monday April 14th: Animal Kingdon
Tuesday April 15th: MK
Wednesday April 16th: Was our original leave date, but I added two more so here is another MK day!
Thursday April 17th: Fave day
Friday April 18th: Check out, back home... as a married couple YAY. :cloud9:

So guys what do you think. If you see anything that could be changed then copy paste and add it in a different color. I am not sure about ADRs yet only because I am waiting for EMH. I make the ADRs in October. I hope theu will be out by then.

All right my eyes are falling off my face. I am so tired! I will be back tomorrow.

your itenerary looks great!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 Congrats on getting everything booked.

:goodvibes :goodvibes I LOVE the options your wedding planner gave you. I had to plan my wedding myself with my mom so be glad you have a planner to help you to get everything exactly how you want it!

Option #1 is georgous!! I love everything. But personally I would choose option #3 because I'm just obsessed with everything formal. I love to see everyone dressed to the "T's" :thumbsup2 plus the dress is so cinderella like. But, whichever one you choose will be just georgous!!!! Go with what you love best :thumbsup2

Anyways, I wanted to let you know I'm still here. Sorry for being so quiet

I liked the first one as well!

Yup, Good taste there!

I like the first one as well. Really great TR. Can't wait for more!!!!!

Thank you for your kind words! Welcome to my pre-trippie! Again Good taste here!

Oooh I love the second one, it's fantastic. :rotfl:  :rotfl:

I have to say that there are may things to mix up. I like a mixture of 1 and 2.

Welcome to the DIS! Yay for another young bride! Stephie is great. The money was worth it. If you dont have a planner it has a lot of information and questions that one needs to ask vendors but nobody ever thinks about it until the end when the bill comes. I work for an event planning service at the UW and know all the background info. We are upfront with any fees, but not all venues are honest. I bought the book before hiring a planner. I thought I could not afford one, but found my planner (She is actually my boss!) to be a price not to be passed up. The DIS is an awesome resource and everybody is so nice. I hope I can help!

I love brown and pink too, but DF also said no to brown... he let me keep th epink if he could have the red. Now I am pushing for the orange which looks really good! So many choices!

Ah dont worry you have lots of things to think about... your trip and thread are enough to think about on top of real life. I like the formal too, but I am so laid back. I am going to end up mixing the ideas a lot. These were things to get me started but they are so perfect and are what I wanted.

You guys are so great thank you for giving your support.

What is happening now: I am currently backing my apartment to move next week. I am almost done. I have way too much stuff for a one bedroom. The enxt apartment is two bedrooms as we now have three people at my place. Next year after we get married, DF is coming back with me and we shall be four in the two bedroom. I am going to need much patience. This is only until we figure out what my cousin wants to do after he gets his degree.

On Saturday I get to see DF! It will have been over a month since I have seen him. I will take pics and post on Monday!:cloud9:

Moving Day is on the 8th... DF is coming over again to help move. I need his muscles. I am bribing him with food.:lmao:

OKay thats it for now.

yeah, but I didn't want you to feel neglected!! Plus, I love wedding talk so I really need to be over here more :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 Mixing all those ideas together will be awesome!! You will get exactly what you want! :goodvibes weddings are so much fun!!

wow, 4 people in a 2 bedroom appartment!? You WILL need much patience. Especially with being newlyweds and all. My DH and I had a friend come over from CA to live with us. She was there for 11 months and that was so stressful! It took a toll on our relationship but we lived through it. Then we had another friend that was going through a bad breakup (he was living with GF and her parents) that forced him to find another place to live fast...so again, we opened our doors to him...we only let him stay 6 months so that wasn't too bad..but stressful none-the-less. Hopefully your cousin will decide to move out soon after you and your DF get married. :thumbsup2

:yay: :yay: for getting to see DF on Saturday. Can't wait to see the pictures from the weekend :thumbsup2

Yay, I get to see him in 24 hours! I miss him so much. I dont know what we are going to do yet. The one down side about living with my cousin is he is younger and I feel very much like his mother. I do everything... pay bills, clean, cook... I dont want to be his mother. My sister comes back in September so it will get easier as she is a good buffer. She helps me calm down when I want to kill him. I am happy that Drew is moving to Seattle. This is a big step for him. My sister and cousin will share one room and Drew and I in the other. I just have to say to myself that this is temporary. If it gets really bad and we can afford it we may upgrade to a three bedroom, but this is only if my cousin stays in Seattle and does not move to LA. We cant afford a three bedroom if he is not there to help with the rent. It will be less than a year. Plus, his family has the cabin we are going to this weekend. The bus ride is about an hour and we would be able to have small getaways to recoup. I dont mind living with my sister as she is the best sister ever. (She knows how to help out) My cousin just needs to leanr to help out more. He says he does not mind that I tell him but when i have asked a million times... not cool.

I am glad it worked out for you. Drew and I have talked and are finding other ways to get alone time in. I have been told by many people that living with my cousin and sister is not a good idea, but right now we can't afford otherwise. My sister and I depend on each others money to pay for rent and bills. She is so sweet. I miss her right now. She is back in Wenatchee for the summer while taking a few online classes.

Anyways... I am going to go back to bed before I have to go to work. A nao sounds good!:cloud9:

that's good that you and Drew are thinking of ways to "escape" and get some alone time. You will need that!! The first friend that we had living with us for 11 months was younger than me and my DH as well. I was always asking her to keep her bathroom clean and help me around the house and such. She didn't have her own car, we had to FORCE her to get a job, which she lost, so I had to get her a job at my Dad's company which meant she was riding to and from work with me. We argued a lot! And so did me and my DH. We were told a lot that having her living with us would be horrible too but we needed her at the time because we were also not in a good finiancial place either. So I 100% know where you are coming from. That's good that your sister is a buffer between all of you though. Just take it one day at a time and don't hold grudges and ya'll will be fine. You will make it through. If you need any help or a stress reliever or someone to understand what you're going through feel free to PM me anytime! Or IM me on Yahoo or AIM or whatever. :thumbsup2 Don't hesitate to contact me :thumbsup2

Leger13, thank you so much for the postive support! It will be interesting for a year, but knowing you are a pm away... warms my heart! You are the best! Luckily my cousin has his own job and works odd hours. I hate to say it but I enjoy the days he is gone all day. I love him. He is my cousin! There is only so much I can take. I have to be patient and praying has helped a lot!

Hey guys all is cool! I will take my camera tomorrow to the Larsen Cabin and post pics from the trip! See you guys on Monday!

 you're welcome for the positive support. In times like these, that's what you need more than anything. That's good that there are days that your cousin will be working all day :thumbsup2 It will give ya'll a break. I understand that you love him but I also understand that there will be times he will make you want to pull your hair out. That happened when my friend lived with us. I'm glad I could be of help and like I said before...contact me whenever. Ya'll will be fine...just remember, take one day at a time and it will all be over before you know it :thumbsup2

hope you have a great labor day weekend!! :goodvibes

Hey Guys I knew I said I would post, but I am super tired and sore! His family is so active... I will post tomorrow with pics from the weekend!

Hi!

I'm glad I found your pre-trip report. I'm also going on a Disneymoon (well, in my case it's more like a Orlandomoon ;) ) in april.

We're getting married on april 22 and will leave for Orlando on april 26. Besides Disney we're also planning on visiting Universal, Busch Gardens, Discovery Cove and hopefully Aquatica. We're there for 12 whole days.

I'm really looking forward to this trip and by reading your pre-trippie I'm really getting anxious to go! Keep up the good work. I'll probably start my own pre-trippie somewhere in december or january.
