Hope you all have a safe & happy holiday!

Oh I love it Janet...

Scraplifting!!!

Hi everyone...Lucy and I are home from the hospital,we got discharged around 5:30pm. :woohoo: I am so happy to be home. I tried to post earlier but kept getting interrupted.

Can I ask you all send some good vibes Lucy's way. She failed her hearing test this afternoon. The nurse said that I shouldn't be too worried as it is pretty common but until I speak to her pediatrician it's hard not too. Her ped did see her this morning and gave her a clean bill of health, but Lucy wasn't tested yet as they have to be 24 hrs old. So I'm curious to see what she says. We have a follow up test in 3 weeks.

Thanks everyone for the compliments!!:goodvibes The girl's were very excited to meet her yesterday.

Janet and Jennifer- You and your families are in my thoughts and prayers over the next few days. And please don't feel bad about posting, it's what makes us a family and I wouldn't have it any other way. We share the happy, sad and all the little things in between.

Paula- Bethie has some :wizard: headed her way for Thursday. Here's a  for you.

Sending out 's and :wizard: to all. I will check back in when I can but know that I'm thinking about you!

I am off of here, Lucy just finished eating and Eric put her down for bed. Night DDA!

Welcome home to you both! Prayers that the hearing test was just a false result and that everything is great. Have a wonderful first night home.

:rotfl2: That's good to know!
I did tell DH that if the fares drop we can get credit back, but if we hate SW I don't think we will be very happy with credit! I do think if we just do carry ons (even though I will have chest pain with just carry ons ;) ) and we don't have to change planes we should have a pretty good experience. Of course we have always had non-stop flights so the stopping might get to me.

I'm not sure when DH will know for sure about his schedule. If he can't get Thursday off then I think we will be back to the January plan. I can't do anything about airfare until we are 100% on travel dates. I am not sure about MVMCP, either. The tickets are $51 each!!:scared1: No AP discount for our dates, and no advance purchase discount, either! But MK closes at 7 PM on 2 of our 3 nights for the party so I think we probably should plan to attend. Saturday night will be a madhouse because that's the only night without a party! We'll see how it plays out.

You will be totally fine. I have actually had much better baggage handling on SW than any other airline - and American is on quite the track record with my family, having lost or destroyed at least one piece of every member of my immediate family's luggage within the last 2 years. My father couldn't tell you how many times American has lost his bags this year (he travels them almost every week - and is flying SW to MCO with us in December).

Thank you all for the hugs.

My Grandmother will have surgery on Aug. 15th to remove the cancer from her liver. So keep her in your prayers please.

:wizard: :wizard: :wizard: for your grandmother.

We went to the Friday night party on 12/15 last year and it was SOOOOOOOOO crowded. At one point you literally couldn't move between Small World and Peter Pan.:scared1: There was a party on our Thursday arrival day but I didn't want to do that in case we were delayed. We did get to see the stage show in Tomorrow Land and saw the parade.

I think Tia may have gone to the 12/14 party?????

Isn't that funny? Jonathan and I went to the 12/15 party last year as well, but were pleasantly surprised at the crowds - we were expecting them to be much worse. (We went the prior year on a Tues. night in early Dec., so that was our only point of reference.) We ate at LTT prior to the party, saw regular Wishes, the 'Twas the Night Before Xmas Show, did a lot of the rides, saw Holiday Wishes, the 2nd parade, and the final castle stage show. I can remember even doing a good amount of shopping, as we had some down time. And we actually sat down to enjoy our cookies and hot chocolate! :goodvibes

Maybe we had ESP that night, and as TGM says, "we zigged when everyone else zagged."

Goodnight all! I need to get up early and try to clean.:lmao:

:rotfl: :rotfl:

I hope you guys have a wondeful meet, Bernadette, Deb, and families! :thumbsup2

Hope you all have a safe & happy holiday!

Tammi after reading this.
I remembered a cute thing Ramiro asked me 1 time.
I grew up in Illinois (lots of snow, ect.)
Ramiro asks me Mom did you ever drive in a blizzard.
I answered yes.
Then he asked me did you survive?
I answered no I died.
He looked at me funny & said MOM.
Than he realized what he had asked me.
Than he says oh I get it, than he starts laughing.
We both still laugh about this from time to time.
Kids say the cutest things.

That is so cute Jo. Thanks for sharing!

According to my handy-dandy spreadsheet it looks like we were there on Tues 12/12. Since they are both mid-week dates, though, I'll bet they would have been about the same. Tues night was wonderful. We followed all of the standard advice and got to see several shows, the parade, fireworks, meet all of the princes and saw many other characters as well.

I can't remember which night we went last year. Maybe Vicki remembers. We were there Dec. 2-6 (Sat - Wed) and the party was Sun, Mon, or Tue. It wasn't crowded at all. So my hope is that DH can get Thursday off so we can fly out Wednesday night. Then we can do the Thursday party, Epcot Friday and AK/MGM on Saturday. Our ME pick up will be too early on Sunday to really go to a park that morning.

Tia - Didn't you have another ticker? Did something happen?

I did, but it just wasn't going to work so soon (had been trying for free dining). Instead, I'm hoping for early next year, maybe Feb, but we'll have to see. Luckily, the day at DL has helped the craving some, though Terra still asks almost daily when we can go back to WDW. She has a long list of things we need to do.

I hope it all works out Elizabeth! Bummer I will miss you by 3 days though.

So DH and I were chatting about airfare (which is now up to $388 for non-stop on American). I looked at SW and their fares aren't too bad - $200 round trip with one stop but no changing planes. So then I looked at a room at Pop for December. And then I called and booked a room at Pop in December.:rolleyes1 So we might be going to WDW in December after all! Pop is only $74 with a AAA discount. Last year the AP rate was only $4 better and there weren't any rooms at Pop with AP, so that part is all set. Airfare and MVMCP tickets are pending. Oh, and DH needs to see if he can get someone to cover a day for him. If it all pulls together we will fly out Dec. 12 and come home Dec. 16.:cool1:

Night DDA!

Please try not to worry Robyn. :grouphug: :grouphug: Robyn :grouphug: :grouphug:

I'm so happy Lucy is home!! :woohoo: :woohoo: The photos were just beautiful. Think positive. :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

I'm still trying to figure out why they stuck an hour of wrestling in there :confused3

DS watched for awhile, then he realized the baseball game was on so he changed the channel. I don't think he saw any wrestling.:rotfl:

Robyn I am so happy that you & Lucy are home :woohoo: I am sure Lucy's hearing is fine, but here is some extra :wizard: for her next hearing test. I am so jealous of you, I would love to have a small one to hold & cuddle. I miss the baby smell too! Ok I am weird lol No more babies for me, but I can look forward to grandchildren :goodvibes

I know.:guilty: I was looking on the thread with DDA trips and I saw that we will miss you guys. I would love to stay longer, but DH will be borrowing a day as it is, and I will use up the rest of my vacation days. And then there is the issue of DS being truant.:rolleyes1 He will just miss 2 days, so not the end of the world, but even if DH and I had more time we couldn't keep him out of school for more than a couple of days.

 I will keep your grandmother in my thoughts Jennifer.

Thank you all for the hugs.

I need to try & get some sleep. My brother called & he is feeling really down about not being able to go. He has been working for awhile at trying to get a major account & he has a meeting with them Thursday. He is going back & forth wondering if he should cancel & reschedule. Life is so wonderful, but it can be so hard sometimes.

Night all, chat with you later!

Good night, Janet! I hope your brother can come up with a solution that he feels comfortable with!:wizard: I imagine it would be hard for him to focus during the meeting, but he doesn't want to lose the account.
