HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, VICKI & CHUCK!!

Jo - loved the pictures.

Well my friend has set her wedding date for July 14th & she has asked me to be her MOH, I am so excited! I went with her today to look at her gown, I just love it! She was going to go with a simple dress but once she tried this on, that was that lol The back of the gown laces up. I told her I would need some practice at getting this laced right for her lol

Even though this seems to be moving fast, I am very happy for her. She is on :cloud9: right now.

I need your thoughts on something. I looked at this gown when I went with Toni. I really like it & it goes with her colors(her gown is ivory & she wants me in Pink). This gown is pink & has some ivory on it. The only thing is it is strapless & I hate my upper arms :scared: Toni also showed me a dress that she liked from JC Penny's. So which one do you think goes better with the gown she is wearing? Toni is letting me pick my gown/dress, help!

The gown is style #9137

ETA: The gown is not strapless, it has spaghetti straps.

The one from davincibridal is gorgeous, but you'd probably not wear it again. The on from JcPenneys is nice too, but not as formal. You could probably wear it for other occasions.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, VICKI & CHUCK!!

Thank you. We both had good days even though we spent it apart. The actual anniversary was yesterday.

Just a quick post to say I'm well and in Lansing. They are keeping me busy but I did go to the movies with some girlfriends last night and dinner with them tonight. We saw Knocked Up. I did not enjoy it at all. I think if I took every time I have heard the F-word in my entire life, it wasn't as many times as in the movie last night. I just don't enjoy shows like that. One of my friends says that's what young adults that age sound like. I sure haven't heard that kind of talk and if that really is the way they talk, it's a shame.

I still have to get out to see POTC3 but would like to do that with Chuck. We have a wedding reception to attend this week-end. It is going to be a pig roast. It is a friend from work that I spent lots of time with before the new department was formed. The other two that we worked closely with will also be there. We all live hours apart. I'm looking forward to having the 4 of us together for a while. My friend getting married is 45, never been married and he is marrying a woman with a 10 year old son. I'm so happy for him. He is one of the sweetest guys I know. I've always wondered how he hadn't been snatched up by someone before. They have been dating a couple of years now.

Well, I have to get to sleep. I have to get up early to check some stuff out to make sure the staffing for all the migrations happening this week and next are set. We've had some changes and I need to review and make sure we haven't forgotten to fill something.

Definitely the first one. It is more elegant and goes better with her wedding dress in my opinion. The second one is nice but doesn't look like a bridesmaid dress with that formal of a wedding dress.

Oh I like the first one a lot more than the second. First, I think it is a bit more elegant, and since she is wearing a gown as opposed to a dress.....I would be more inclined to pick the first.

This is what I was thinking too.

I need this cute bird bath in my side yard.
Looks like another week-end project here.
3 terra cotta pots & 1 saucer.

Well back to catch up.
Later.

Jo-

Love all the pictures....I so can see that bird bath in your yard!!

Becky, you and Jonathan should meet. His dream is to swim with sharks. He plans on doing a shark dive when we're in Nassau with DCL, and wants to go cage-diving with Great Whites off some island on the California coast. :scared1: And the thing is, I don't know if I can talk him out of it.

I had a teacher in high school who spent 6 weeks the one summer off Africa spending most of his time in a shark cage studying the Great white sharks. He spent the time above water on a ship as the area was out in the middle of no where. This is the teacher who I did my marine biology study trip to Jamaica with.

I did happen to see a shark at Serenity Bay at Castaway Cay on my last DCL cruise.:thumbsup2 I also happend to be swimming in the ocean off Delaware and an entire pod of dolphins swam by me about 7 feet away. I could hear people on the beach screaming get out of the water sharks.

I want to go diving on my cruise in September but I am concerned about my sinus issues. I haven't went SCUBA diving in 2 years so I would need to do at least a dive or 2 before I went. Then again there is so much stuff I want to do on land I'm not sure if I will do much underwater either. I am thinking I may just need to be satisfied with snorkeling on Castaway Cay as I want to explore the islands. Decisions, decisions.:cool2:

I'm home and I've managed to rinse and take the rubber bands off the tie dye shirts. Now I'm running them through the washer to make sure all the extra dye is out. They didn't come out as good as the ones I made in 2005, but they're not bad. They seem to have a lot more white on them. I only put one mickey head this year too. Now I need to make one for my mother. Maybe tomorrow :confused3 I also managed to add her to our LTT ADR before the P&P party. I also added her to our DVC reservation at OKW and have an email out to add her to our Buena Vista Suites reservation. So far it hasn't been too hard. I'm in the process of making her shirts to match ours. She may not have all the same, but she'll at least have some.

I should probably make Pal Mickey some too? I guess I'll see if I have time.

I've also sold my last blanket and towel set at AJs so I should get sewing. While I'm at it I need to make a rain cover for Hunter's wheelchair. I'm tired just thinking about it. Good thing I still have 6 weeks to get it all done.

Hi Vicki! It's good to see you posting. It's too bad that you didn't enjoy the movie, but I'm glad you gave us your thoughts. It had gotten such good reviews. It sounds like you will have a nice weekend with old friends.

Deb - post pictures of the tie-dyes when you can, please.

Good Golly!! I haven't done any shirts at all!! I think I am only going to do a couple.....but I gotta get a working on it!!

I think I will do your plain movie one on blue and I have no idea...I need to PM Kristine because I wasn't able to download her designs before she took them off.

What is a blanket and towel set???

Deb - post pictures of the tie-dyes when you can, please.

I'll post them tomorrow. I just put them in the dryer. The Mickey Heads look pretty good, the dye around them is pretty sparse.

Deb

No, that would make it better if it did though!

Could you possibly find a wrap, shrug, or something to use with that dress? I do like that one better then the other one.

I've been making baby blankets that are polar fleece on one side and cotton on the other with a satin binding around the outside. I also made some hooded towel/washcloth sets. I had one blanket left and one towel set left. They've been there since last fall, but both sold this week. Now I need to replenish my stock. I've even bought supplies, but haven't found time yet. Now I need to make time.

Theresa Disneyshopping has a pretty good sale going on right now. I bought the Hawaiian Mickey Shirts for Chris and the boys and the dress for myself. They are good quality and we all love them. Once this new sale came out I ordered the shirt for myself and the dress and shirt for my neice and nephew. They will get them for their birthdays. They are planning on going to WDW next year so that will be nice. I think the dress that I paid $24.99 for is now 14.99. I know that there are t-shirts on sale too. Maybe you can go that route and save yourself some time.
