Official Birthday/Anniversary Cake thread

Great Idea! Do you think you can pick it up there and take it to the cabin or do you have to eat there? We already have our meals planned for her birthday.

It doesn't hurt to ask. You could always see if they will let you take it to go or say that you are considering taking it out on a pontoon boat in the afternoon (then change your plans last minute) if you must stay on property. I know that they linked my order to my ressie for the time it needs to be ready by.

Has anyone ordered a birthday cake from the Concourse Steakhouse? We are celebrating my birthday and was wondering if there were any options since I didn't see the phone number listed on the first page. I tried to do a search but couldn't come up with anything.

Ok, so I just read through almost this full thread and decided to try and get a cake for LTT for DHs bday. I called the MK cake number and spoke with a wonderful lady. We could get the 6" cake (predone, mickey only, no personalization) at LTT or we could get a personalized one. We ordered an 8" chocolate cake personalized with his name for $25 and paid an extra $8 for the Lion King on it. We had our choice of all designs EXCEPT winnie the pooh and friends. We could even get pixar (Cars and Monsters Inc were ones I asked about). We didnt have much choice of flavours, only vanilla with wht choc or choc with dark choc, but the design wasnt a problem at all. (Oh, and there are only 4 of us) HTH

I have planned a birthday dinner for DD4 at 1900 PF. If I order a cake, can I give them a cake topper? I just found a really cute Mickey at Lenox and would love to use it on her cake.

I need info for TWO cakes for my triplets' 7th birthday.

• I know it says they only 2 names on a cake, but as they are triplets do you think they'll put 3 names?

• 1st cake is for CRT lunch. Can I get something special, or will it just be the plain 8" with the 3 choices of filling/icing? Do they still let you order the chocolate slippers at CRT?

• 2nd cake is for HDDR dinner. I didn't see any pictures in this thread. Anyone order one for HDDR?

Denise - I don't know if they still do the slippers at CRT but call the MK bakery and tell them what you need. I used them in January for dd's birthday and they were great. I ordered dd the chocolate mickeyhead cake and they can't put any names on it, but it was still great! I also had the mini castle cake at GF and they put the name on the plate. Maybe they can do something like that for you.

For ds' birthday cake in June I ordered a Nemo cake from Coral Reef, complete with the diver. Hope that works out as well.

We did lunch at CRT for DD's 5th birthday & I called ordered a cake with Aurora on it & it was beautiful. They put most anything on a cake. As for how many names on a cake I don't know you'd have to call.

We just got back in December for my daughter's 5th Birthday. We had rented a house with 2 other families so we got her this cake at Publix which I thought was cute.

We then added the slipper dessert at our Dinner at CRT on her actual Birthday.

Hi,

I did call ahead of time and they just added the cost onto my bill that day. It was $12.99, I think. As far as the number, I cannot remember the # but perhaps someone on here can answer that or you can try emailing Disney. They reply rather quickly and will give you the info. Good Luck!

Just got back from AKL and here is the birthday cake I ordered for DD2. My choices were:

6 inch white
6 inch chocolate
6 inch zebra
Mickey cake (no inscription allowed)

I chose the 6 inch zebra to go along with our AKL theme. It tasted just okay to me but my girls loved it.

This is a pic of a cake someone ordered from Whispering Canyon Cafe. You could call and see if they can deliver it to the HDDR since they are right beside each other. If not you could always order it and arrange to pick it up. We picked out cake up from the Grand Floridian bakery and carried it to the Crystal Palace. I thought I would drop it for sure! But we made it safe and sound.

It would be cute for your boys and I don't know about yours but my little girl would love it. She is a big Jessie the yodelin' cowgirl fan!
