I'd hate for her to miss band camp but I would so  for you guys to come while we are all there... Doesnt' seem like it would be the same if you guys weren't there. Then of course you would have to drag your sis along too... :teeth:

I'd love to be there. But if there is camp she has to go, it's a school requirement! Drives me crazy that they are required to go to this during summer vacation. Sports teams go early for practices but being on a sports team is voluntary, you aren't allowed to be in regular band in our school, unless you're in marching band, and you can't be in marching band unless you're at camp!:headache:

We are having pizza and salad for dinner tonight!! Whats everyone else having?

Sounds yummy! Recipe please?

I didn't follow a recipe, I just threw a bunch of stuff together that we had in the kitchen. but I'll try here:

1 lb ground italian sausage
1 jar of your favorite spagetti sauce
1 lb blend of your favorite pastas ( I used macaroni, rigatoni, and spirals - we didn't have a full package of any of these)
parmesan cheese to taste
mozarella cheese to taste

Brown and drain the sausage. Add pasta sauce and sausage together and simmer. Boil pasta and cook til tender. Drain pasta, and blend in sausage/sauce mix. Pour into baking dish, top with mozarella and parmesan cheese and bake at 350F for about 20 minutes.

Easy peasy.

Yep, thats how some of the best tasting stuff you ever make comes from. And you'll probably never be able to duplicate the best flavors if you try. Kim made a stew a few months ago (the best she ever made), from stuff we had in the freezer and cupboard. no recipe, just threw everything together. Best she ever made.

My grandma used to cook like that all the time.. I so wish I could.. If I don't have a recipe or have made it before I am no good...

You would never make it in our house growing up then. Money was always tight when we were growing up, so we always improvised. I learned to cook by watching my mom. Best thing I make (I think) is home made sausage gravy for biscuits and gravy. I used to make home made biscuits too, but now its too easy to open up a bag of schwan's biscuits. Anyway, each pan of sausage gravy is a little bit different from the one before.

Sounds good! Thanks!

Hi All,

I hijacked the internet from the family. We are just getting ready to have BBQ wings, HBs mac salad and broccoli.

we had a nice healthy dinner of hot dogs and french fries. My DH isn't feeling so good, DD8 was at Girl Scouts, so I didn't want to make anything big.
