Your Favorite Memory/Detail on the Magic

We just went on the Magic in June and my daughter made an amazing group of friends through the teens club-- definitely more so than on the Dream and Fantasy. I think that the smaller size of the ship helped with this.

I also really enjoyed Rapunzel's Royal Table. I think DCL did a great job with it. One of my favorite memories is when Flynn Rider came over to our table. My teenage DD was shy about taking a picture with him so he came over and tried to give her the swoon eyes. I have the best picture of him looking over her chair at her and her with blushing intensely and and trying to hide her face!

One of the things I am most looking forward to...Rapunzel's Royal Table and the show! Thanks for sharing!

Loved the color and vibrance that brought the Chihuly chandeliers to life on the Magic & the Wonder! Thanks so much for sharing, Princess Shmoo!:flower3:

Perhaps the most memorable moment on the Magic, for me, was Oct 31 2016 (Halloween), on the 7-night Bahamian from NYC itinerary, with a stop at Port Canaveral/WDW. It was a sea day, and we were perfectly timed to intercept the Wonder fresh from drydock/reimagining in Cadiz. She only had crew on board, so I guess we were the first DCL guests to see her enhancements (ducktail, Twist 'n Spout, etc). It was incredibly cool to have the original sisters sailing alongside one another, with a horn battle to top it off.

  1. After we got on the ship, we went to Cabana's for lunch. We grabbed our plates of food and wanted to find out outdoor table. We noticed that no one seemed to be going to an eating area up some stairs, so we thought this would be a perfect lunch view of the port. We walked up the stairs with our plates and began to eat. It wasn't too long before we realized why there was no one else up there as a whole family of seagulls hovered over our heads while we ate. It was as if they were magically suspended in the air just above our heads the entire time we ate. To this day, we jokingly look for silent, hovering birds over our heads whenever we eat outside!

Never had seagull problems, but I've noticed on both the Magic and Wonder that a lot of people don't realise the table area exists at the back of Deck 10. Had many breakfasts and embarkation lunches up there with no one else around...

That IS a special "Magical" memory!!! :cutie:

Our first Disney Cruise was on the Magic in 2010. I remember arriving in Port Canaveral and the whole family saying, “There it is!” With great excitement. My daughter, who was in college at the time, got thrilled every time we left the stateroom and she heard the Disney music. And we won the Disney trivia contest (mainly thanks to my daughter)
Going back on the Magic in September on the British Isles cruise. Looking forward to seeing her again.

I was shopping in the shops one evening and rapunzel was walking through to her character meeting spot, but as she went through she went looking through all the shops looking for Pascal. Then I later saw her looking in potted plants at guest services for him too.

Our first Disney cruise was on the Magic in 2009 to the eastern Caribbean. My first memory of the Magic was the long walk up the gangway waiting to board. The very top had a low ceiling. The CM asked our name and the next thing I saw was the enormous open space, people clapping and welcoming us aboard, glass elevators, the chandelier, and the magnitude of the experience. Love the smaller ships, Magic and Wonder.

On the last sea day of our Norway cruise, we received an invitation to a "Princess Ceremony" for my nearly 6 year old daughter. It requested that she wear her "finest gown", etc. We had no idea what to expect. When we showed up, the girls were told to wait for instructions in the lounge while the parents were to gather in the atrium. They then announced each girl by name, they were escorted down the stairs by male staff members in tuxes, and then given a sash and declared "Disney Cruise Line Princesses" by Cinderella herself. After that they were taught the princess wave, a dance, and then there was a mini "inaguration ball" where the girls danced with their parents. It was super fun and my daughter truly believed she had been made a princess! She even told me I had to walk behind her since princesses go first! It's one of those experiences no other cruise line could ever do!
