1st: when do you change from "welcomed Guest" to "veteran" or to any of those clever titles some of you have
2nd how did you get such unique avatars and do you have to be more than a computer idiot to do it yourself?

you become a veteran after you 75th post...

Your avatar has to be 50x50 pixels

At the top of this page, click on <b>The DIS Discussion Forums</b>, this will take you to the home page.

There, click on <b> User CP </b> to get to your profile.

Next click on either the <b>Edit Profile</b> or the <b> Edit Options</b> links to edit your particular preferences.

In the edit profile choices, you can set what you want it to say beneath your name. If you don't set anything here, it will automatically go to 'Veteran' after 75 posts. If you do set something else, it will remain. I'm not sure, but I don't think this option is available until after a certain number of posts.

Under the Edit Options choices, the last one at the bottom will allow you to pick an avitar.
