haven't been looking at dvc points use and forgot how they actually work. If i am planning a trip summer of 2022, and my use year is december, what years will be available to me to use? 2021, 2022 and 2023? or no because I haven't received my 2022 years points till december and it is only july 2022 yet. It seems confusing and hope you guys are able to clarify this up for me.
i am thinking i can bank 2021 into 2022 and use 2023? but i haven't gotten those points technically, right?

Your December 2021 points are valid from 12/1/21 through 11/30/22. If you bank them they cannot be used for a summer 2022 trip.

If you have 2020 points to bank, banking them will make them available from 12/1/21 through 11/30/22.

A summer 2022 trip can borrow points from your 2022 UY, which starts 12/1/2022.

I have a Dec UY, and I just don’t even think of calendar year,

Always figure the UY of the trip. Once you know that, you can use banked points from the UY prior to the trip, points from the UY of the trip, and then borrow points from the UY after the trip.

So, summer 2022 is in your Dec 2021 UY. You can use any banked 2020, 2021, and borrow up to 50% currently to complete the reservation.

You cannot use 2023 points with a July 2022 trip and a Dec UY. You can use Dec 2021 points and borrow Dec 2022.

You would have access to 3 years of points with your December use yea for a summer 2022 reservation.

Borrowed December 2022 points
