Wrapping Up the Year - December Exercise Thread

Welcome to December! This is such a busy month for all of us - holidays, travel, family coming and going - so I hope we can use this to encourage each other to make some time for ourselves and continue our efforts to exercise. Exercise has SO MANY BENEFITS, so let's help each other wrap up the year in a healthy way.

Here how our challenge works:

You choose a time goal (as much or as little as you want), and then you post minutes toward that goal as you exercise. (You can post every day, or just whenever you can.) All sorts of movement counts! You can set a monthly goal that means something to you, or calculate your goal based on a target number of minutes per day. Since December has 31 days, here are some popular conversions:

10 minutes/day = 310
15 minutes/day = 465
20 minutes/day = 620
30 minutes/day = 930

As you reach a new level in your personal challenge, your name will change colors on the first page of this thread.

Blue 10%
Pink 25%
Orange 50%
Purple 75%
Red 90%
WISH Green 100%



**I'd love to continue Dentam's idea of posting one thing you are thankful for each Sunday, so that will be included as well.

The challenge officially starts on December 1st. If you find this thread later in the month, you’re still welcome to join! Just post your goal and I’ll add you to the list.

I'm in - sticking with the 500 that's been working for me lately (but hoping to up it after the holidays).
And, like the others said, thanks so much for taking on hosting in such a busy month!!

I started off today with a 10 minute walk at lunch. - 10/500
 
I am in for 200 min., being realistic, as I am only managing to get my 10 min. walk with the puppy, and with getting everything ready for Christmas early before DD and I take off for Disney the week before :santa:, I know it is going to be crazy ( Of course, if I log my walking in the parks, I should get to the goal and then some!). I appreciate 2TxAgs taking over as it is motivation to push to get out there every day! Starting the month with 10/200 today.
 
Thank you @2TxAgs for taking this on this month! I am really trying hard to stay on track this month. I am going to go for a touch less this month than last due to the busy schedule of the holidays, shooting for 1500 this month.

Only got in a quick run today. I am doing the Runners World Run Streak which challenges you to run everyday from Thanksgiving to New Years. So I'll stick with my regular training schedule but also add in at least 1 mile to every day I wouldn't otherwise be running. Today was a one mile day;) I do still walk to warm up and cool down though. 9 minutes running, 6 minutes walking. 5 minutes PT as well. So 20/1500 to start the month.
