Will Call Ticket Option?

The best price I have found for our Disneyland 4 or 5 day hoppers is from Disneyland direct. As I live in the UK there is international shipping of $20 per order, however I have seen on the website a service called Will Call.
Has anyone used this service? what I really want to know is how long in advance can you buy tickets with this service, I dont leave the UK until 6th May.

Pete,
we just bought ours when we got there as it cost more to post them than the difference in price. We were there in August and arrived at the park about 10.30am and we only queued for about 5 minutes.
We are buying them when we get there again and we are going for a 4 day hopper and then upgrading to a Deluxe AP, that way we can spend as much of our 18 night stay there as we want, but will still be able to go into the parks around the 4th July which is blockout days.

$20 - is that pounds or dollars? Either way it's outrageous. I'd just buy them when you get to DL. If you stay onsite you can buy them at the hotel desk.

We never wait and buy our tickets at the gate as Ella suggested. If you have time to order tickets prior to your arrival (not sure, but I think it's 3 days or more), do it! You'll save up to $40/person compared to the gate price on a 5 day hopper adult pass.

I've always been under the assumption that you can apply the cost of any ticket you've bought, at the gate or online, towards an annual pass, if you upgrade to the annual pass prior to your hopper pass expiration date.

You can purchase your tickets NOW for any 2006 ticket. Unfortunately, you'll miss the great "Everyone plays for kid price" promotion going on until April 27th. (that's a savings of $70.00/person on a 5 day hopper) if you're not arriving until after May 6.

The best ticket prices out there that we have found are on the Disneyland.com site. They beat our AAA and our local Disney store prices for the 2006 spring break.

We use the will call service because it saves us shipping costs. The money we save on shipping, we put in our park spending envelope. Plus, we never sit and worry about our tickets being lost, stolen, or misplaced in the mail or delivery service. Instead, our tickets are safely waiting for us at booth #4 when we arrive. And, our tickets are just one less thing we have to pack.

And, if for some unfortunate reason, you are unable to go to Disneyland on your planned days, they will hold the tickets there for you for 30 days, then ship them to you with the shipping cost added to your credit card.

Just remember, there are 3 things you will need to claim your tickets at the will call window:
1. your ID
2. the ACTUAL credit card you charged the tickets on
3. the confirmation number printed from the Disneyland.com site

Have a great time.

Thanks a lot for your information, I really want to save the $40 per ticket which I would lose at the gate. Do you know how far in advance you can order to have them saved at the 'will call' ticket booth? I wasnt sure by your reply if it was 30 days, is there a limit or could I buy now for my trip starting May 6th?

Pete

This address can help you get a direct answer from the will call ticket purchases guest service:

Ticketinquiries@DisneyOnline.com

They are very helpful, and quick with email replies.

Also, you can talk directly with a Disney ticketing specialist cast member at this phone number:

(714) 781-4400

They too are very helpful. Sometimes the cast members will tell you about future price promotions before they are released to the public or online. That gives you the option to wait for the promotion instead of purchasing right away. May save you even more off the entrance price at the park, if a new promotion is coming out around your May 6th travel time.

Hope this helps.

Pete,

I called for you. The cast member gave me this information:

You can purchase your 2006 tickets, and have them held for you at the will call booth for "up to" 30 days from the day you charge them on your credit card.

Example: If you charge them today, April 2, they will be held for you at the will call booth until May 2. On May 3rd, they would ship your tickets to your physical address, and a shipping charge is added to your credit card.

Your tickets are available at the will call booth 48 hours after your credit card is accepted.

Example: You charge them today, April 2, they can be picked up, April 4.

So it's to early for you to charge your tickets for your May 6 trip.

Sorry I dont know your name, but thank you so much for taking the time to call Disney for me.
I am definitely going to order our tickets through Disney and collect them at the 'will call' ticket booth, this will save us between $90 - $120 on our tickets which would be silly not to take advantage of.

Thank you again for your information I really appreciate it :)

Pete

Just back from DL. The will call ticket booth is very easy. It's the first ticket booth you walk into as soon as you pass the security check point. Just have your ID, Credit Card, and online confirmation ready. It took 3 minutes to receive our tickets.

Thanks for the update, it sounds really easy and its going to save us $'s and time :thumbsup2

Cheers

Thanks for this great information! I didn't know you could have them kept up until 30 days at the Will Call booth.

Last year I ordered my tickets while we were in California but before we arrived at Disneyland and had access to a very poor dot matrix printer to print off my confirmation. This time I'll order them before I leave home!
