Welcome Home, BP!!! We missed ya bunches.
Some of us swapped those e-postcards so we could see them all.
KEVIN!!!! Stranger! Where ya been?! PLEASE come back tomorrow night, and whenever else you can. It's great to see you back also!!!
Ann, Ann, Ann. I'm sorry about your fall, really I am, but you know the silly-sickness I have. When I read that you & Tom were weak from laughter, that just gave me license to LOL WITH you!!! It also reminded me of a BAD fall I took last August, it's probably posted here, too. Oh you would've PAID admission to see that fall AND the black eye, bruises and blood. I still have a scar on my knee.
And, additional bruises and aches DID surface the next day. Take care of yourself.
Wow Betsy, that baptism was quick! I don't think my bro & SIL have even discussed the baptism yet, with the holidays and all. And yet I have a cousin who's had both her babies baptised in the hospital.
Cally, I don't think a lawyer for the mortgage company is actually representing YOU. He probably reviewed the contract to make sure nothing affected the lender. Just know this, the contract is probably 99% in the builders favor, with you waiving and giving away any rights to pursue if something is wrong. It may be too late for a lawyer to do anything to change the contract, but he could inform you of possible scenarios and what courses of action you COULD take, if necessary, as well as tell you what to look for during the next stages.
Ann, if you mean the house you built in FL, I didn't think FL required lawyers. I thought the title company handled everything? Anyway, in the past, my former boss WOULD look over contracts for his friends buying their 'summer homes' done there, and he ALWAYS found things to change, or request, from those 'reputable' builders.
Sometimes post-closing issues aren't even handled by the lawyer who did the closing anyway. If it's litigation, I know my boss and none of my former bosses would handle that.
Well, I went shopping again today with Kelly, just for a couple hours. I visited another $ store that wasn't as disgusting as yesterday's!
It's nice to go shopping when everyone else is crazy and you know you're really done, but just looking around.
Tomorrow DS & I are going on Kelly's ALL school field trip to see Polar Express!
DS has a dentist appt. in the afternoon, and he's off all week, lucky duck. Kelly & I still have school & work on Tues & Wed, and then we're off until 1/3/2005!
