Cast of characters
Me - Commando style theme park visitor, planner, etc. (age 45) - 3rd visit in 3 years
Newbie - Best GF from Alaska (age 43)
Teen Newbie - GFD first visit in ten years (age 16)
Time span: 3 1/2 day visit to the World, I am staying on property, GF and GFD off property (3/23-3/26)
Breakfast - Rivermill Food Court (Last Day)
Cast - Me
Cinnamon bun - $2.59
This is the my third continental breakfast and the cinnamon rolls at 6am are still great and hot. I did miss having a hot breakfast before going to the parks (EMH everyday), but this is another great bakery in the World. I was only here for three nights but the refillable mug was worth it (refilled it atleast 4 times a day), the grounds at POR are beautiful and I did a lot of walking and people watching.
Afternoon snacks at AK - $13.39 (Bucket of popcorn, pretzel and nacho cheese, water, two sodas and M&M's)
Whole crew
Dinner (offsite) Key W. McCools (steakhouse) off 192
Whole crew + DH $158.94 (tip not included)
Good cuts of aged beef, flamed broiled at kitchen in the center of the restaurant. Good salads with fresh olives and light vinergratte dressing, hot loaves of bread, only negative (frozen veggies).
PS. If you are depending on the food court at your resort check out the food service hours before booking, in 2002, 2003 at the Mara AKL hot food was available during all hours of operation. I never checked out POR hours (my mistake). I don't know if this change at POR is due to cut backs or crowds, I would hope that this policy would change and if not, the Grab and Go area needs extra food and should not be empty 2 hours before closing.
