What was the last hotel/motel/villa/condo you stayed at?

I love asking this question every once in awhile because I get some great answers and critiques on places. And at this time of year many people are doing some great winter vacations/spring breaks!! :teeth:

For me and DH....we didn't go anywhere this winter; just spent the night in a nice room at Firekeepers' Casino back in February. DH did spend the night at a Holiday Inn last month in Dayton, OH helping to move youngest DS and family from Ohio to Indianapolis but we don't need to count that. (The motel was nice, tho, he said.)

One vacation:

2 nights Coronado Springs-Disney World---- Newly renovated very nice
14 nights- Disney Wonder Cruise Ship-------- just awesome as always
1 night- Manchester Hyatt in San Diego------ very nice, would stay there again.

Country Inn and Suites by RADISSON Bloomington at MALL of America

Across the roadway from the mall, the best free breakfasts I've ever had from a hotel, nice pool area ( side by side pools and hot tubs). Overall my family had a very nice weekend stay back in FEB.

Last Summer, my sister and I went to the Hyatt Centric Arlington (VA) on a short Washington DC trip. It was fabulous for location and right next to the Metro station and a bus stop, and a short walk from a miniature Target. (I will DEFINITELY stay here again on my next trip to DC.)

The year before, we stayed a few days after Universal at Best Western Aku Tiki in Daytona Beach. I loved it there and can't wait to return there, too.

On the way down for that trip, we stayed at the Comfort Inn in Orangeburg, SC (that's as far as we made it from Buffalo in a day's drive.) It was clean, well-kept, and had a good location next to a Bojangle's. The only problem I had was when one of the waffle irons shorted out and started a small fire that set off the fire alarms at 5:15AM. Now, on the one hand, I didn't sleep more than 6 hours... On the other hand, I got an early start to the day that otherwise wouldn't have happened. But my real complaint? No waffles until they were inspected and deemed safe to use. I would definitely stay there again on my way down.

This summer, we're doing Kennedy Space Center and staying at a Sandcastles oceanview oceanfront unit in Cocoa Beach. (We're hoping our unit is as nice as it looks!)

Disney's All-Star Sports Resort on a short trip to Disney in February for Braves spring training.

On the last family trip, it was Zoder's Inn in Gatlinburg, TN back in December. Older property, a little dated, but very clean and nice, and had a balcony over a stream. I would stay there again!

We stayed at Hotel Zephyr in San Francisco ( Fisherman’s Wharf) just over a week ago. Location was great but we had a few issues maintenance wise.

Our last trip was to Disney in January. We drove and detoured through Alabama for my nephew.

We stayed at a quality inn in dandridge tn on our way to al. It was a nice spot for an overnight. Clean and comfortable. Restaurants and gas stations around, it was cheap, and had a free breakfast.

Stopped at a comfort suites in Macon ga after picking him up. Nice indoor pool and hot tub, nice big room and free breakfast. Really loved this place.

Our stay at Caribbean beach at Disney we loved. Great resort and other than the walk to the main building we were close to a bus stop and pool. Room was nice.

We stayed near him on our way home at a Hilton garden inn in oxford al. It was ok. They advertise being able to make your bed softer/harder but it was just hard. Have stayed at another hgi before and it was the same way. Room was nice other than that. Nice pool area but it was overrun by unsupervised kids (well there were a few adults in the hot tub with them but they didnt care what the 8-10 kids were doing). No free breakfast. Not that it was that bad but it was our worst stay of the trip.

7 days last fall on the Carnival Breeze. I can think of absolutely nothing to commend it. :sad2:

We just stayed at the Avanti Palms Resort on International Drive this week. Last weekend, we stayed at the Sleep Inn in Fort Mill SC when we went to Carowinds.

The new Adventura Hotel at Universal in late November/early December. On the drive home we stayed a night at a Hampton Inn on the outskirts of Charlotte, NC.

We travel a lot, but the last place we stayed was a Bed & Breakfast named the Inn at Ormsby Hill in Vermont last weekend. Normally I am not a big fan of Bed & Breakfast places, but this one was great and I would happily stay there again!

Row NYC. We stayed there for a high school drama club trip. It was right in the heart of Broadway, amazing! The rooms were a little beat up but they served the purpose. I loved how loud the heating/ac fan was, it really drowned out the noise down below.
