Twisted Sisters 4th of July/Birthday Tour/Now with fireworks pictures!

Hi everybody!

qruthie and I are off to WDW for a week.

We will be on the 11th floor of the Contemporary Hotel, with a Magic Kingdom view!

We have a couple of character meals planned and a lot of time planned for sitting in the bar or by the pool. We hear that you can get a mai tai at Typhoon Lagoon and then float around the lazy river. Sounds like a plan to me.

We had dinner last night at Chef Mickey's, then we went back to the room for the fireworks.

They had the 4th of July fireworks last night as well. They were absolutely amazing! Our room on the 11th floor of the Contemporary overlooks the MK and the 7 seas lagoon. We were surrounded by fireworks! We did not know where to look! The finale was the most amazing thing we have ever seen. Looking forward to seeing the show again tonight!

Last night the extra magic hours for the MK were from 1 am - 4 am! We went over after the fireworks and we lasted until almost 3:30 in the morning! We hit the Monsters Inc Laff floor, and I was picked to do an interactive thing with one of the monsters. He asked me my name and I said "Fly" then the camera zoomed in on my birthday button and the monster askes me: "If your name is Fly, why does your birthday button say Susan?" I told him Susan was an assumed name. It was way funny and I think I got more laughs then the monsters did.

We had a late breakfast today with Alice & The Mad Hatter at the GF Park Faire. We stopped by the MK and picked up some balloons to put in the room. The MK is packed today! It was fun getting all the balloons back to our room. Luckily not many people were leaving the MK and we had a monorail car all to ourselves with the balloons.

We are just taking a break now, and we have a few friends joining us later to watch the fireworks with us.

Wooot! Sounds like you two are having a blast so far!! We LOVE Monsters Inc -- although one of us usually gets picked rofl. One time I got picked to do the antenna ears and make the silly sound. Way funny show.

Can't wait to hear more about your trip!

Here is the fireworks we saw from our balcony. My DD & her BF had a camera that they mounted to the railing of the balcony. Some of these are timed exposures 6 - 8 seconds.
This view is facing the Grand Floridian, they had the exact same show going off to our right over the castle. During the grand finale it seemed like we were surrounded by fireworks.
