Hi everyone! It seems hard to believe but I guess I am going to Tokyo Disney and Tokyo Disney Sea this fall! It'll be a group of 10... last hurrah family trip to see my great aunt for the last time as her health won't allow her to travel to the US any more.
I am fighting with the Hilton Tokyo Bay website right now. My primary concern is that none of the rooms appear to have enough bed space to fit the number of people we have in each room. I see it says they consider anyone over 6 to be an adult... even allowing for changing 3 of the 4 kids to count as adults, I still don't get enough beds. Most of their bed types seem to be KING or TWIN- no queens or doubles. Does anyone have first hand info on this? I don't want to make a reservation for a room that says it sleeps three "adults" but only has two twin beds!
I hope we have enough time to see everything we want. We are Disneyland (Anaheim) veterans but have never been to any other Disney parks. I hear Disney Sea is really something special so I hope one day in each park is sufficient.... looks like we will get the 2 day tickets and do one park each day.
Any advice you can offer will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
We had three adults. We had a king bed and ordered a roll away bed for the third adult (14 yo) for 50 Yen a night extra. I found that most hotels in Japan only had twins if you wanted two beds. We had plenty of space and there was also a small chaise in the room also. You can barely see the edge of the roll away bed on the right side of the photo. Plenty of room to walk in between the king and roll away.

Thank you. The website doesn't say anything about rollaways so I was not sure how that worked. I think we will try to call ahead or email them or something as the last thing we want is for them to be out of rollaways when we arrive- particularly since all three rooms we are booking will need one. I have worked in many hotels locally and we always recommended those requests be made in advance to ensure availability.
Yes, I emailed ahead of time to make sure there would be one available. I just responded to my confirmation email with the request so the email address I used was TokyoBay.Reservations@Hilton.com. In looking back the exact cost was 4,882 yen per night.
We're headed to Tokyo Disney next month. Our plane lands at 3:20 pm. Any idea the odds of making the 6 pm bus to the resort, and if we don't, what other easy options?
I don’t know about the bus, but if you’re flying into Narita you can take the NEX train to Tokyo station and then catch the train out to TDR from there.
Me again. I see that the three hotels we will be staying at have wifi. Should we also buy a wifi hotspot gadget before going? (I'm not very tech savvy, but my son with whom I'll be traveling is.) On the one hand it doesn't seem like we would have to have it, on the other hand I don't know if we're so conditioned to using our phones that we would be at a loss without easy access.
As long as your flight is on time, I'd say your chances are excellent (and it would probably be an earlier bus). The Japanese are very efficient.
Yes - for maps, train times/connections, translations, TDR wait times (unofficial English app, but I think the data is from Disney), etc. If you and your son might split up at all and need to communicate, I think mobile data only SIM cards would be better than a wifi hotspot. The b-mobile ones we got worked great, though they don't have the cheaper one we got anymore.
