Throw Up on the Lap Bars Please- A June 2019 TR! COMPLETED 3/1!

Ooooh Dollywood!! I'm dying to visit! It's the sister park to the theme park I grew up going to, Silver Dollar City, and I want to see how different/similar they are. Plus the Great Smoky Mountains are just gorgeous!

I definitely think you should go! Dollywood was so much fun and the Smoky Mountains really are breathtaking. I want to go back- there's so much we didn't get to do!

Photo boxes can't capture this. Grrr.

Ugh! True! I heard they took them out of the Mickey meet in MK?? I hope they're reversing the idea!

Team Coco Small World! haha

Yess lol!

This made me crack up in real lifef!

:rotfl: :rotfl:

What great skies for your photo! Stormy skies are so much more interesting, I think.

I agree- it's nice to have the perfect sunny sky photos but we have 1000 of those lol.

Very glad to hear he's doing much better, that must have been scary.

Thank you . It was so scary!

Glad to read that your brother is doing better.

Thank you! 🥰

I'm having it this week. Does that count?

It does and I'm sorry to hear it!

Hope this week was better for you.

I hope yours is getting better too!

coming up quick!

Ah I'm excited and overwhelmed lol - I feel like I have so much to do and no time to do it!

Let's just hope it wasn't because you had to.

:rotfl::rotfl: I would remember that- I think 🤷‍♀️

You must've felt like the park was just waiting for you and you alone.

Yess! Except who let all those other people in!

Love that line. :)
Love all the lines on that ride.

Me too!

Of course. What's the point of going to Disney if you don't come home exhausted.

You didn't do it right otherwise!

Best tip I got was to fire the gun before the ride starts and get a feel for where you're aiming that way when there isn't a ton of other dots around.

I'll try that! I feel I'm a hopeless case but I'll still try!

I noticed the shirt change!
(This is especially impressive considering I'm a dude and all.)

Very impressive!

@SimplyGoofy here's the screen recording of modifying a fastpass! Hope this helps!

Reach Out and Find Your Happily Ever After

After our ride-a-palooza, it was time to head to Main Street to stake out a spot for Happily Ever After.

On our walk over, I took a picture of the castle because I think you get arrested if you don't.

We grabbed a great spot right along a fence in the hub. The ground was wet due to the rain earlier so I left Mike holding our spots while I went into the stores on Main Street to ask for plastic bags to sit on (pro tio!) and to find maps for the Villains After Hours.

It occurs to me as I'm writing this that we must've gotten our event wristbands at some point but I have no idea where or when! It must've been pretty quick and painless though since I have no memory of it lol.

Getting the maps was harder than expected. The store CMs said the only spot to get them was guest services so of course I had to wait on a line. In retrospect, I should've gone up to the tapstyles instead of waiting.

Eventually I made it back down Main Street and settled in to wait.

Somehow, just as Happily Ever After was about to start (seriously 2 minutes before), a woman managed to sneak in front of me and stand in the small space between me and the woman in front of me. It happened so quickly that I don't even know how it happened! Luckily, Mike saw her gesturing to the man with her to join her and stepped forward to prevent him from joining her!

I was so upset because I went from a perfect viewing location to not being able to see anything!

In the truest Disney spirit ever, the girl of the couple in front of us saw this happen and told me to come stand up next to her in front of her boyfriend because he's over 6 feet tall and could see anywhere. I was so grateful to her because I feel like it's so easy to get jaded by the masses of rude people you encounter these days, Disney or elsewhere, that it's nice to have that show of pixie dust to remind you that there are good people left!

As soon as we shuffled around, Happily Ever After was starting, magical as always. Before I saw the show for the first time, I was determined to hate it because I was so upset about losing Wishes. I'm still upset that they took Wishes away but I instantly fell in love with Happily Ever After!

I only took a few pictures in comparison to the 100s I usually take.

After the fireworks ended, my new friend and I both had to wipe dust from our eyes (crazy how that's contagious right?) and had to fight our way out of the hub crowd. The park wasn't closing until 10 and that's when Villains After Hours would start so there were people literally trying to go in all different directions so it was a lot of chaos but eventually we made it.

I was entranced with the trees lighting up which I've never noticed before.

Our destination was to BTMRR because it's my favorite and feels like a completely different ride at night.

Along the way, we found some Villains After Hours signs so we had to stop for pictures of them!

The wait time at BTMRR was posted at 35 minutes when we got there at 9:42.

Mike was hesitant to wait but I doubted it would actually be a 35 minute wait and I was right, we were off the ride in 15 minutes.

When we got off, it was still a few minutes to 10 and after a short discussion of riding Splash Mountain

Me: Can we go on Splash, it's warm out, we'll dry
Mike: No

We went for a second round of BTMRR.

The line was shorter now but still not a walk-on like we've found in previous After Hours events.

Since popcorn, ice cream bars and sodas and water are included in the event price, we stopped at the popcorn cart outside the ride for popcorn and drinks.

We decided to make Pirates our next stop so we could see the live actors in the ride.

The wait time was posted at 50 minutes, which was again, grossly inflated because we only waited 10 which included everyone walking slowly through the queue to watch the actors.

The first was this guy who was very entertaining about being stuck in his jail cell.

giphy.gif

It was even more entertaining when you went around the corner and saw that it was completely open on the other side and he could easily walk out. :rotfl: :rotfl:

The second actress in the queue was this lovely lady who was also funny.

The third and final actor was on the ride itself.

giphy.gif

He was a little hard to hear but entertaining.

This is my favorite part of the ride so I was glad to get a semi-clear picture of it.

And we got the least-interesting ride photo possible lol.

You'll be shocked to hear that we wanted to find all the event-exclusive magic shots and one of them was located in Adventureland near the treehouse .

Next time: more magic shots, a dragon loose in the kingdom and we finally finish day 2 of this report!

Awww, so glad it worked out for you

I was entranced with the trees lighting up which I've never noticed before.

Those trees are my favorite! such a neat effect

Me: Can we go on Splash, it's warm out, we'll dry
Mike: No

What happened to compromising?! hahah

Scar!! Love this shot

Ugh I would have been so upset if someone stood right in front of me. Of course I also have a big mouth so no chance I could have kept it quiet. But glad to hear someone was looking out for you. The entitlement at Disney is sadly always alive and well.

Can't wait to see how the rest of the party goes. Weird that Disney was posting overinflated wait times, especially on a party night. Not sure I would have been smart enough to get in them

That's really sweet

I love both too ::yes::

So pretty, I've never seen that before.

Wait…that's not how it's supposed to work

I’m short so this would have drove me crazy! What is with people! Honestly ugh

Looks like a good start to the night! Was this a marathon day or it just feels that way because the updates for day two have even going on forever 443871
Sorry I take forever too, I just love this gif so you know I’ll pick on you too! :)
Excited to hear about the party, the waits so far seem ok, not great but good!

This is true. I saw someone walk past it and they were escorted out of the park. I didn't see it, but I assume into a waiting police car.

Holy smokes! Brilliant!

Oh, for Pete's sake! I hate that!!!

We should all get together and sue Disney for eye trauma!!!

Good call Courtney!

Holy...
How did he do that!?!? Can he teach me?
My conversations go like this:

DW: Can we go on Splash, it's warm out, we'll dry
Me: No
DW: We're going.
Me: Okay.

The first was this guy who was very entertaining about being stuck in his jail cell.
He was a hoot. I had a lot of fun with him. :)

He's there on the honour system.
The second actress in the queue was this lovely lady who was also funny.
I don't think... Oh! Yes! I remember her now. :)

You really did a great job with FP this evening! Love it

I am horrible on Buzz, Andi is almost always a Galactic Hero! What a show off!

So glad you had a better view of HEA, We are doing a HEA dessert party in January! We also really miss Wishes but HEA has grown on me.

I love the Scar magic shot. It looks like a nice start to the Villians After Hours. I have heard some mixed reviews on this and I am excited to hear your thoughts!

Thanks for all you do as an ER nurse! It is a tough job. Solidarity on the nursing front is a must!!

So nice! It's great to hear about the nice people that are left in the world 😍

:rotfl2: I have to agree with Mike on this one though!

Frustrating that they didn't have them more easily accessible, but I guess at the same time they don't want day guests grabbing a bunch of them up either.
I was so upset because I went from a perfect viewing location to not being able to see anything!
I hate it when that happens. I mean it doesn't often happen to me because I'm tall, but still.
In the truest Disney spirit ever, the girl of the couple in front of us saw this happen and told me to come stand up next to her in front of her boyfriend because he's over 6 feet tall and could see anywhere.
That's awesome!
Before I saw the show for the first time, I was determined to hate it because I was so upset about losing Wishes. I'm still upset that they took Wishes away but I instantly fell in love with Happily Ever After!
I'm more stubborn than you are. I want Wishes!

I've heard of the actors, but I think this is the first time I've seen pictures. They really look pretty incredible! That would be a nice addition to the ride.

Thank you so much for the video!

On our walk over, I took a picture of the castle because I think you get arrested if you don't.

:rotfl: YES! That's the excuse I'm using from now on!

That's too bad that someone stepped in front of your spot for HEA. I hate when people crowd into my spot! Get here earlier or find your own spot, folks! That was very kind of the person in front of you to let you stand with them to have a better view.

It looks like your Villains' AH event was off to a great start! It's too bad you missed out on Splash, but I understand Mike's wanting to stay dry. The actors on Pirates look awesome - hopefully they weren't too scary!

Ugh. This is mostly why we don't watch the fireworks in MK unless we are doing the dessert party. It is hard with kids too. Morgan and Gwen are way too big to hold up at all. But glad someone was nice. It is nice to know that not everyone is jerks.

It's like they forgot to update the times on all of the rides.
