Throw Up on the Lap Bars Please- A June 2019 TR! COMPLETED 3/1!

Ugh I would have been so upset if someone stood right in front of me. Of course I also have a big mouth so no chance I could have kept it quiet. But glad to hear someone was looking out for you. The entitlement at Disney is sadly always alive and well.

Mike and I both said something and the lady selectively understood English and flat out ignored us!

Can't wait to see how the rest of the party goes. Weird that Disney was posting overinflated wait times, especially on a party night. Not sure I would have been smart enough to get in them

It was odd. At first I thought it was to discourage guests without AH tickets from getting in lines but then it was already during AH and it was still happening so I don't get it.

I’m short so this would have drove me crazy! What is with people! Honestly ugh

Me too! I'm only 5' 2" so it's annoying. I take extra time out of my day to get a spot I know I can see from and then people still ruin it!

Looks like a good start to the night! Was this a marathon day or it just feels that way because the updates for day two have even going on forever

It's a combo of both lolol it was a 8 am - 2 am day but I also take forever to update and write a lot of words so it takes forever.

Sorry I take forever too, I just love this gif so you know I’ll pick on you too! :)

I love the gif too :rotfl: :rotfl:

This is true. I saw someone walk past it and they were escorted out of the park. I didn't see it, but I assume into a waiting police car.

See- I knew it!

Holy smokes! Brilliant!

You're welcome lol! We've used this plan so many times now and my sister and I told a dad about it at our August MNSSHP last year and he was so grateful! He became our voice for yelling for the photo people to come over :rotfl: :rotfl:

Oh, for Pete's sake! I hate that!!!

Me too! I take so much extra time to get a spot I know I can see from because I'm short and somehow every so often, people still ruin it!

Awww.... :)
That's really nice. :)

It was so sweet!

We should all get together and sue Disney for eye trauma!!!

I'm in!

Holy...
How did he do that!?!? Can he teach me?
My conversations go like this:

DW: Can we go on Splash, it's warm out, we'll dry
Me: No
DW: We're going.
Me: Okay.

:rotfl::rotfl:That's pretty much how it went earlier in the day. I think it only really worked for him because I love BTMRR and it had rained earlier so no one wanted to really be wet again!

He's there on the honour system.

Wow what an honest pirate!

You really did a great job with FP this evening! Love it

Thank you! It feels like such an accomplishment when you score the FPs you want lol.

I am horrible on Buzz, Andi is almost always a Galactic Hero! What a show off!

Ah I need Andi to teach me her ways lol!

So glad you had a better view of HEA, We are doing a HEA dessert party in January! We also really miss Wishes but HEA has grown on me.

It's grown on me too. I'm bitter we lost Wishes but I'm glad the replacement is good. I did the HEA dessert party in February- I really liked it!

I love the Scar magic shot. It looks like a nice start to the Villians After Hours. I have heard some mixed reviews on this and I am excited to hear your thoughts!

Thank you! We had a great time! There were highs and lows but I would do it again!

Thanks for all you do as an ER nurse! It is a tough job. Solidarity on the nursing front is a must!!

Aw thank you so much! 🥰 🥰 We go through a lot as nurses in all areas!

Frustrating that they didn't have them more easily accessible, but I guess at the same time they don't want day guests grabbing a bunch of them up either.

Yeah agreed. I should've just gone up to the tapstyles at the front!

I hate it when that happens. I mean it doesn't often happen to me because I'm tall, but still.

I wish I was tall lol!

I'm more stubborn than you are. I want Wishes!

I want Wishes too but I do like Happily Ever After now!

I've heard of the actors, but I think this is the first time I've seen pictures. They really look pretty incredible! That would be a nice addition to the ride.

They were fun! I think it would be great if they were there all the time!

Thank you so much for the video!

No problem- I hope it helped!

:rotfl: YES! That's the excuse I'm using from now on!

:rotfl: :rotfl:

That's too bad that someone stepped in front of your spot for HEA. I hate when people crowd into my spot! Get here earlier or find your own spot, folks! That was very kind of the person in front of you to let you stand with them to have a better view.

Agreed! I spend so much extra time getting a spot I can see from and then people try to come right in front of me! It was so sweet!

t looks like your Villains' AH event was off to a great start! It's too bad you missed out on Splash, but I understand Mike's wanting to stay dry. The actors on Pirates look awesome - hopefully they weren't too scary!

The actors were a lot of fun! They weren't scary at all- just entertaining!

Ugh. This is mostly why we don't watch the fireworks in MK unless we are doing the dessert party. It is hard with kids too. Morgan and Gwen are way too big to hold up at all. But glad someone was nice. It is nice to know that not everyone is jerks.

I feel like MK is the hardest to watch the fireworks in, especially since the shows are so projection based now.

You're welcome lol! We've used this plan so many times now and my sister and I told a dad about it at our August MNSSHP last year and he was so grateful! He became our voice for yelling for the photo people to come over :rotfl: :rotfl:
Me too! I take so much extra time to get a spot I know I can see from because I'm short and somehow every so often, people still ruin it!
That's when the shoulder tap comes into play.
<tap, tap> "Excuse me, could you move? You're blocking my view.

It works 63% of the time.
Wow what an honest pirate!
Isn't honesty the definition of a pirate?

Wait...

Oh no! There's nothing more irritating than someone walking up and blocking a view right before a show. It's hard not to feed into the rude mantra and say something impolite. Thank goodness for fellow kind guests who allowed you to stand with them. There's hope for humanity yet.

Aww, I see now why we missed each other at the party. I started in Fantasyland at 10. Still disappointed our paths didn't cross!

You got a nice shot of the key scene in Pirates. :goodvibes

To my own surprise, I evidently changed shorts sometime between leaving the Poly and this photo. When? :confused3 Why? 🤷‍♀️ I had brought shorts and a shirt to change into for After Hours but it's unclear to me why I changed my shorts and not my shirt lol.
Must have been all those drinks you had :rotfl2:
I never have a clue which laser is mine or what I'm shooting at. My ride photo depicts my feelings accuratel
I used to be the same way, but I eventually got Galactic Hero and I know you will too :cheer2:
I was so grateful to her because I feel like it's so easy to get jaded by the masses of rude people you encounter these days, Disney or elsewhere, that it's nice to have that show of pixie dust to remind you that there are good people left!
Im sorry that happened to you, but yay for good people there to help you out.

You pack a whole lot into your Disney days, I’m I impressed!

That's when the shoulder tap comes into play.
<tap, tap> "Excuse me, could you move? You're blocking my view.

I have had this work before! Some people are genuinely oblivious!

Isn't honesty the definition of a pirate?

Wait...

:rotfl:

Exactly! I try so hard not to be rude at Disney but some people make it so hard!

Aww, I see now why we missed each other at the party. I started in Fantasyland at 10. Still disappointed our paths didn't cross!

Oh man. Isn't it crazy how you can be in the same park as someone and totally miss them?!

Must have been all those drinks you had :rotfl2:

:rotfl::rotfl:

I used to be the same way, but I eventually got Galactic Hero and I know you will too :cheer2:

Thank you! Hopefully some day but on this past trip- I was still terrible lol

You pack a whole lot into your Disney days, I’m I impressed!

We do! I'm not good at relaxing on vacation!

Throw Up on the Lap Bars Please Part 1

Hey guys remember me?!

We are back from our 17 day excursion to Orlando. It was a fantastic trip and coming home to 34 degree weather and snow has done nothing to help my post-Disney depression. Luckily for me, I am still off until Friday and can hibernate in bed with Lizzie Mcguire on Disney+ and attempt to catch up on the Dis. Unluckily for him, Mike has been back at work since Monday afternoon after we got home Monday morning  .

Back to June we go!

When we left off, Villains After Hours had just started. As we headed into the Liberty Square area, it was just about time for Maleficent as the dragon to make her first appearance of the night so we hung out to watch.

giphy.gif

It was definitely much cooler and more intimidating to see at night! She didn't breathe fire again after that one time though so we decided to stay in the area to see her come back this way.

While we waited, we got one of the event-exclusive treats to try.

The Headless Horseman Brookie (which I see now that Disney called a browkie?): half chocolate chip cookie, half brownie. This was delicious but the serving was really large and it was rich so even between the two of us, we could only eat about half of it.

I also picked up the headless horseman straw which I was happy about because I missed it at MNSSHP last year. Apparently I didn't take a picture of it so here's one from the internet:

Maleficent came back past and we got good interactions from her henchmen (I assume because of my shirt and ears) but she still didn't breathe fire again so we decided to try again on Main Street at the end of the night.

We decided to ride Haunted Mansion next, which was really difficult given how long the line was:

I just realized now that we never got a ride photo this time :(.

After visiting the happy haunts, we stopped at the cart outside HM to grab some of our "free" sodas and I took the opportunity to take a picture of the lighting on the mansion.

I was on a hunt for the exclusive magic shots so we headed into Fantasyland with a brief stop to photograph the most well-decorated bathrooms ever.

We found the line for the magic shot by the wall behind the carousel. While we were waiting, the stage show was going on so there were fireworks going off all around us! The timing worked out perfect and I was amazed by how much pyro was being used.

Look how bright it is from the fireworks! It looks like daytime!

I like the lighting in this one- it definitely makes Magic Kingdom look evil.

The time in line passed very quickly with fireworks to watch and soon it was our turn.

For the second picture, the photographer told us to fight off the dragon and it became clear that I have no idea how to fight anything because I had to be instructed on how to pose.:rotfl:

The next magic shot I was looking for was in Tomorrowland so we headed in that direction.

On our way, we noticed that Winnie the Pooh was a walk-on so we decided to take a trip in a honeypot. This is one we'll never ride during the day unless we pick up a FP for it so it was nice to be able to walk on!

It was delightfully empty in Tomorrowland!

Space Mountain was listed as 10 minute wait and had a special "overlay" of a new soundtrack and complete darkness for the party so it was time to ride!

As we were boarding, the CM loading us was trying to finish a thought and then tell us to pull up on our lap bars which resulted in her telling us to "Throw up on the lap bars please!" and then instantly realizing what she said and said "OMG please don't" and we went hysterical and so did she. We laughed about it for so long that the trip report title was born!

No idea what's happening in this ride photo lol.

The ride "overlay" was okay. We had experienced it last year at MNSSHP so it wasn't totally new to us. It is fun to ride in the complete darkness and makes it a little scarier. It already seems pretty dark in Space Mountain so I was surprised it felt that much different with all the lights off. The villains soundtrack was a nice thought but very hard to hear. I heard small snippets of Ursula once and that was it.

There was a photopass CM outside the ride when we came out so we stopped. I hoped we were gonna get some cool shot for the event but it was just a picture with Space Mountain lol.

They had projections around for the event like on the rocks into Tomorrowland and on the purple wall and here they had Hades' hair projected on the ground.

Finally,we found the magic shot I'd been looking for!

Nightmare before Christmas is one of our favorites and since meeting Oogie Boogie wasn't an option at this event, the magic shot was a must-do!

Another Disney law came into effect because we were by the purple wall which meant we had no choice but to stop for photos.

There was even a helpful sign telling us how to # our photos.

I picked my nail design specifically for this event so of course they got their own photo.

Then, Mike was kind enough to play along with my wall photoshoot (this isn't uncommon to him anymore).

We had one last magic shot to find so it was time to move on to the hub!

Such a fun start to your VAH!

That stinks that Maleficent wasn't really breathing fire, hopefully she did it later in the night!

You got some amazing pics of the castle fireworks from FL- so cool!

I loved the magic shots for this event, they were so cool!

Maybe I wasn't actually behind.... Welcome back! Lucky for you to have a day home to binge on disney plus!

My children would loose there minds seeing them in the dark!

This is hilarious!

I have had this work before! Some people are genuinely oblivious!
Or assuming you won't say anything...
Hey guys remember me?!
Hmmm.... Courtney? Is it Courtney?
We are back from our 17 day excursion to Orlando. It was a fantastic trip
Welcome home and glad to hear it was a good trip!
coming home to 34 degree weather and snow has done nothing to help my post-Disney depression.
No. No it wouldn't.
Unluckily for him, Mike has been back at work since Monday afternoon after we got home Monday morning  .
Heh... And I'm sure you weren't gloating.... at all...
The Headless Horseman Brookie (which I see now that Disney called a browkie?)
I saw that, but... it didn't appeal enough for me to bother.
I also picked up the headless horseman straw which I was happy about because I missed it at MNSSHP last year. Apparently I didn't take a picture of it so here's one from the internet:
Drat! I didn't know about that. Might've picked one up. Ah well...
we headed into Fantasyland with a brief stop to photograph the most well-decorated bathrooms ever.
:rolleyes1
Look how bright it is from the fireworks! It looks like daytime!
Whoa. Compare it to the next photo...
I like the lighting in this one- it definitely makes Magic Kingdom look evil.
Maybe that's what it should be called during MNSSHP.... Evil Kingdom.
For the second picture, the photographer told us to fight off the dragon and it became clear that I have no idea how to fight anything because I had to be instructed on how to pose.:rotfl:
 Love how you're smiling while fighting off certain death!
This is one we'll never ride during the day unless we pick up a FP for it so it was nice to be able to walk on!
Why?

The villains soundtrack was a nice thought but very hard to hear. I heard small snippets of Ursula once and that was it.
Okay... I had decided to skip it because I've ridden it in the dark before and actually prefer the lights. So if you can't really hear the soundtrack, then there's no incentive.
Nightmare before Christmas is one of our favorites and since meeting Oogie Boogie wasn't an option at this event, the magic shot was a must-do!
Well, shoot! I didn't know about this magic shot. Poop.
I picked my nail design specifically for this event so of course they got their own photo.
Nice. :)
