Cast: Me, The Tramp and my DW of 25 years, Lady
Objective: To celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary with a leisurely vacation in Orlando

Day 5, 12/5: We began our last full at WDW with breakfast at the PM before heading to MGM Studios. When we checked in to CSR on the 1st, our CM had made PS dinner ressies for the Brown Derby/Fantasmic show for us and we were looking forward to both. We have always enjoyed this park and we took a nice leisurely tour this time. We did take a ride on the RNR, one of our favorite attractions at WDW. And, for the first time, we did TOT!! Yes, we did it this trip! I thought it was great; the DW probably will not do it again! Some things we did were: Doug Live; The Great Movie Ride; The Backlot Tour; Star Tours; and we saw the Hunchback stage show and the Mulan Parade. I also managed to get my pic with Buzz and Woody! We took a nice leisurely tour of the NYC street set and we found the raining umbrella where my DW posed for a pic. I think it plays Singing In the Rain when you stand under it, too, but that could just be some leftover pixie dust clouding my brain! We did some shopping and headed to the Brown Derby for a 4:45 PM dinner seating. They were running about 30 minutes behind schedule so we patiently waited our turn, now knowing the pagers only have a range of 100 feet. This dining experience has become our favorite at Disney to date. The atmosphere, waiter and piano player were all great and the food some of the best we have ever had. We started off by sharing the Pan Seared Day Boat Scallops, which were excellent. For the main course, I opted for the Sesame Seared Tuna and my DW had the Pepper-Grilled Filet Mignon. Both were excellent! For dessert we chose the "Earful" Tower Sundae and the White Chocolate Cheesecake; both were delicious. Our waiter had suggested we be at the entrance gate for Fantasmic at 6:30; however, we were enjoying our meal so much that we got there around 6:40. (He had given us passes during our meal and told us to enter behind the garage near the MGM entrance gate.) We walked the 1/4 mile or so to the stadium bench seats and found quite a few empty seats on the right side of the bleachers. They quickly filled up by 7:00. Fantasmic was fantastic! We both thought this was the best stage show we had ever seen at Disney. Before exiting the park, we toured the Osbourne Family Light display. This is an incredible display with nearly 6,000,000 lights! After a while, they almost become overwhelming! I'm not sure what the 3D glasses they gave us were for; they did not seem to enhance the display in anyway. The "snow" was nice and I got a pic with Santa Goofy and Chip to end the evening. We headed back to CSR for our final night at WDW.

Wow! I'm so proud of you guys for riding TOT! :D

My dd thinks the umbrella does play Singing in the Rain.

I agree about Fantasmic. I just love it. :D

Everyone else has said the special glasses for the OL make each light look like a snowflake.

Thanks for sharing your trip with us. :)

If you look at each light with no glasses, they are just lights. Once the 3d glasses go on each light turns into an angel playing the trumpet. My DH video taped with the glasses on and off and we can see the difference on the tape. I just love reading your trip reports. It sounds like you both are having a great, relaxing vacation.
