Does anyone know if your allowed to take your own food/snacks on the flight ?
If not do they sell anything other than crisps and chocolate ?

You can certainly take your own food in your hand luggage but remember to eat it before you land as meat, fruit, vegetables and some other things cannot be imported to the USA.

In general, you cannot buy any food on the plane - you only get the standard 'free' airline food and/or snacks.

We always take some crisps, sweets, biscuits and drinks since the youngest son refuses to look at airline food so we take stuff for him (and ourselves).

No one has ever complained. Lots of people do it.

Just don't take any knives or forks with you!!!!!!

if you are on a charter flight then they sell chocolate and crisps but thats about all - no real food.

I seem to think that Squitty decided against the £15 for airline food, and packed herself and her dd a picnic to take onboard instead.

My only concern would be that the meals coming around is about the only thing to look forward to on the flight, it kind of makes the time pass more quickly - but then again, it's very annoying when they don't take the trays away afterwards and you can' t move for dirty plates, so maybe there is an advantage to taking your own.
