Split-Stay at Same Resort - Questions?

We have a split-stay booked for the end of November at ASMu. The first 3 days of our stay is a RO ressie, while the 2nd part of our stay is a FD package.

We would like to add more park tickets to our 2nd reservation so that we can visit the park for the nighttime entertainment during the first few days but don't know how to do this so we can get the discounted rate for each additional day of park tickets rather than purchasing a 3-day ticket and then an additional 5-day ticket.

If we can't book FastPass+ reservations for the first 3 days, we are fine with that. We are just hoping to be able to somehow add the additional park tickets to our FD Package reservation to save some money.

Also, should we do Online Check-In for one or both reservations? If so, is there a way to indicate that we have a split-stay booked at the same resort and would like to avoid a room change mid-week if at all possible?

Thanks for your help :)

Call and change your tickets to 5-day.

You won't be able to book FP+ in advance for those first 3 days. Just realize that you are going to have to stop by a Guest Relations location and have them give you access to your tickets early. There is a Guest Relations location outside every park and one at Disney Springs. Once this is done, then you will be able to book FP+ for the first 3 days.

No reason not to do it for both.

Yes, call the Main Reservations line with both reservation numbers. Have the CM link them in the system as "continuing stay". Then ask the CM to add a request onto both reservations that you would like to stay in the same room. Then when you check in for reservation #1 remind them about reservation #2 and they will be able to tell you if you're currently booked in the same room for both. If not, ask that they change that so you can stay in the same room. Now this will only work if both reservations are for the exact same room type.
