This quote from the article makes me think GADad's end of year estimate may be the closer to truth than any hopes for anything earlier...may even be a 2020 opening?

Take this with a grain of salt...

We were talking with a manager at another restaurant last week who will be transferring there. They said the target date was in October, but they were doubtful that it would open by then.

Failure to Lunch is what happens if you have an ADR directly after your Mission Space FP ^_^

Likely once the restaurant has an official opening date, they'll release reservations. When that is, that's what we're all waiting for. I'm sure someone will post once they see a bookable ADR date or even when the restaurant appears on the Disney page which is usually a good sign that they'll be adding dates sooner than later.

Considering that ADRs for Topolino in the Riviera Resort were just made available this week for their opening on Dec 16, it doesn't seem that this space restaurant will be open before that date. That's just my opinion. Pictures of progress of the Riviera Resort in comparison also appear to be much further along. Maybe we'll all be pleasantly surprised & construction will ramp up once Galaxy's Edge finally opens in August.
