I'm so bummed! I could've saved $150 if I had waited. Oh well, you never know. Maybe someone else can benefit.:)

Did you book with Southwest? They are sooo good at giving voushers when their airfare goes down!!

In fact, SWA is sooooooooooooooooooo good that you can rebook on line using your online ressie number and keep the credit right there. IE: fare was booked online at 150.00, it is now 100.00, you rebook using your ressie number and they deduct the amount of the new ressie and "hold" it in an account for you ( or anyone you assign) to use within one year of the original reservation date. Oh, I do love SWA. :)

Unfortunately our return flight is "unavailable" with the I-net fares (we're taking the 7:10pm home to MHT). We could rebook but the flight before leaves at 2pm and it'll be fun to have most of the day to lounge or go back to the parks!

Thanks anyway!

Can you just rebook the one segment? Maybe someone knows. I got roundtrip from Indy to MCO for $120 via Delta :pinkbounc

We already have reservations. Only one leg of the trip is discounted. The trip home
is no different. For a difference of $80, but I figure every little bit helps.

Where do I put our current reservation number, so we get credited for the
difference in price?

Thanks,
Kris

if memory serves, you start to make the ressie and where it says way to pay, you insert your present reservation number. I then does the math and tells you what is left.
Hope this helps. Trust me, they make it very easy. I have done it a couple of times.

in order to downgrade and get the reduced fare it has to be on the same flight and the sam day i would call the 800 number to get more info.

You can also change the dates, times and departure or arrival via the web site. I know, I have done it at least 6 times.

Hi Gail!

Just to clarify, are you only permitted to make this change via the Internet ifyou originally booked on the Internet? In other words, if you have a paper ticket, you wouldn't be able to make any changes for credit via the Internet?

Thanks for your help!

Kaa,
This is applicable only to ressies booked on the net and then changed on the net. If you booked via a SWA agent, then you need to go through the SWA phones to change it.
As a scenario and true story. My daughter was planning to join us a few days after we arrived and we made her reservations via the net. THEN....she found people to cover for her at work and found that she could leave with us. I specifically told her, go to the net, plug in your flights, proceed to make the reservation and where the "pay" screen comes up, plug in your reservation number. But...........NOOOOOOO, she calls them, they change the flights and charge her 60.00 more because they do not have access to the internet prices, in fact, they don't have a clue what they are. So, I called the 800# explained the situation and they very nicely cancelled her more expensive flights and issued a full refund because it was within twentyfour hours of booking (they are really great!!!), I then went online selected her flights and used the reservation number for "payment". That took about 90 seconds. And, all was well. Someday she will listen to MOM, maybe, she will be 25 soon......maybe. :)

Thank you Gail! I am dealing with changing paper tickets and it is such a hassle to return to the airport each time I need to make a change! I had to go with paper tickets because of the Hershey certificates, but will be able to go back to booking on the Internet for travel next year!
