So Much to Celebrate. . a Disney Wedding, 30th Anniversary & Easter 2015 Updated 3/29

Great TR! Port Orleans is absolutely gorgeous! BTW congrats to the Bride and Groom! What a Magical Way to celebrate their special day!

Hello and :welcome:! I just love PORS. It's our favorite resort so far. We had the best celebration in Disney!

Luckily Michelle got an update in while I was gone. Thanks for the well wishes we did have a great trip but I'm so ready to go back again.

Where are you headed for the Wedding? I hope ya'll have a great time.
The Lewis Memorial Chapel of the Good Shepherd in the Sherwood Forest area of BR. And of course spending time with my family in New Orleans.

Still not caught up to the wedding, but the internet is not cooperating and is taking forever to display your pictures so I need to give up after only one chapter today. I'll have to come back another time.

As we exited we took a bio break and of course Danielle could not resist the allure of the fountain. She can't pass it without touching it. The guys grabbed some refreshment.

As you know, I have to post the same picture of my kids every time! It's irresistible!

We stopped along the way for some photopass pictures.

Great photo, and I especially like Michelle's hat!

I know I've said it before, but my family can't pass the drums without stopping.

So...what body part is Michelle using to play the drum?

Hello everyone! We're back from Disney. I have to finish unpacking and start washing clothes. I'm off tomorrow and hoping for some catch up Dis time. I'll do replies than, but it looks like Michelle has done a good job with that.

Welcome back!!

I know if I was in a restaurant in Disney eating, I would love to be included in the fun. It would make my trip more memorable.

Me too!

Thank you! We had a great trip, just so sad it's over.

Always sad to see a trip end... yep!

Mom's in Disney right now for "Danielle's grad trip".... really it's because she can't stand to go longer than 24 months between trips. We've all just accepted that.
I can't blame her. Not only do I not blame her, I can totally relate.

We will actually be there for our anniversary. Already planning to eat at the Poly with the kids and maybe do another photoshoot with Randy for our anniversary, with the kids while we are there. And it'll be between both kids' birthdays, so it's kind of perfect. Crowded, but with an infant, a (will be) 8 year old, and a husband that won't ride things.... we tend to find ways to make our own magic, anyway.
That looks like the perfect way to celebrate the anniversary of a Disney wedding!

“so, do you guys dress like this every day?” And I replied, “Nope. Only on Tuesdays!”
:rotfl2::rotfl::lmao:

I had to Google the Chapel. I think I've actually been in here before. Before Danielle I sponsored the KClub at Episcopal and attended a ceremony here. It's located on the Episcopal High School campus which is pretty close to my part of town. I hope it's a lovely wedding. It's going to be hot humid and rainy this weekend. Enjoy visiting family in New Orleans too. Michelle and Jimmy popped into St Louis cathedral last weekend.

Still not caught up to the wedding, but the internet is not cooperating and is taking forever to display your pictures so I need to give up after only one chapter today. I'll have to come back another time.

Take your time we'll still be here.

As you know, I have to post the same picture of my kids every time! It's irresistible!

Yes it is, she couldn't resist it last week either. We introduced Chris to it's magical draw.

Great photo, and I especially like Michelle's hat!

Thanks Glenn, it's one of my favorites. Michelle has a great sense of fashion.

So...what body part is Michelle using to play the drum?

I asked her that too. She said it was her hand, she was just getting down!?

April 7th-What do you do after a Disney Wedding?

When we last left off everyone had headed off to their resorts to change and rest up. I can honestly say everyone in my room took a nap. The 80% chance of rain that had been predicted hit while we were resting. It was just finishing up when we were waiting for the bus to DHS with Jimmy & Michelle. For everyone in our party except Dennis, Danielle and I this was the only time they would be spending any time in DHS. Since Brent and Hannah only came for the wedding this was the only park they would see at all. Michelle and I had set up 3 Fastpasses for everyone but not all at the exact times, but they all over lapped. We all had Tower of Terror with times ranging from 6:10 to 7:25. We all had Voyage of the Little Mermaid 7:45-8 and Toy Story at times ranging from 8:05 to 9:25. We also wanted to catch the second showing of Fantasmic @ 10. Lets see what we actually did.

Brent and Hannah got to the park first. They acted fast and go in the single rider line for Rockin' Roller Coaster.

Smart move on their part.

Of course Chelsea and Tyler got there before us too and headed down Sunset Blvd to get in the single rider line too. They stopped along the way for some pictures.

These were taken right before 6 p.m. and we all had to meet up for our Tower of Terror ride starting @ 6:25. Unfortunately they did not make it on RRC in time and had to desert the line.

Everyone but Jimmy, Michelle, Gia, Carolyn and Wayne made it for Tower of Terror. I know I've said it before but this is my very favorite ride (that may be changing after riding FOP). Dennis only does it so we won't pick at him. Tyler was a little apprehensive but once again up for the challenge. Judging by the picture I think everyone had a good ride.

After getting off Tower we did something Michelle loves and can't miss, Beauty and the Beast. I was surprised Brent and Hannah joined us but we all enjoyed it.

I wasn't sure what Jimmy and Michelle did while we rode Tower but it looks like they got one of Michelle's favorites.

Speaking of turkey legs, does anyone remember Jordan? He could not stand them. He thought they were the grossest things ever. We actually met up on our 2010 trip in DHS outside of the Beauty and the Beast theater. He waited in line with me while I got Michelle her token turkey leg and even took pictures with it. The rest of my family was holding me a seat inside the theater. Boy I miss Jordan.

Moving along, our next fast pass was for everyone @ Voyage of the Little Mermaid. We enjoyed a little family time before walking in.

Poor Gia was wiped out by this time.

What can I say every show is about the same but this Ariel could really sing. To this day Danielle still talks about what a great job she did.

By the time we got out everyone was hungry but we really didn't have much time. Our fastpasses for Toy Story were coming up. They were a little staggered with one ending before the rest. Grumbling tummies could not be denied so we stepped into the ABC Commissary for a bite. I don't have any food porn although I did get the Easter featured cupcake that was really good. I was much too worried we would miss our fastpass. By the time everyone was finished the time for the one straggler fastpass had expired. I volunteered to sit it out since I've ridden it the most. But some Disney Pixie dust was thrown our way. Wayne explained that our whole party but one would be ridding and they let me in. I think for the most part Disney does this. They don't want to see a party get split up. I was very relieved. We took more family photos while waiting in line.

At some point between Little Mermaid and eating, Gia got the Jasmine outfit and they took pictures. Michelle is going to have to fill that one in. I'm wondering if they skipped Little Mermaid and meet back up with us for diner? Boy, I'm getting old and forgetful.

We closed out our night by seeing the 10:00 showing of Fantasmic. This is Danielle's favorite nighttime show. Since the first time she saw it when she was 3 it has held a special place in her heart. It was the perfect ending to a really fabulous day. Everyone enjoyed it the show. Wayne and Carolyn couldn't believe what a large production it was. I thinks this was the only nighttime entertainment they say the whole trip.

Look at the total entrancement on both their faces.

We said our goodbyes to Brent and Hannah and made our way back to Riverside and sleep. This was a very full and long day. I think we got a good bit done @ DHs with the limited amount of time we had.

With that I'm finished with this day. Michelle will need to fill in the gaps. Once she does that we have our Magic Kingdom day.

What a wonderful and busy day you had! I never expect it, but I love when Disney gives you a little pixie dust. So nice you could all ride TSMM together :) I also love Fantasmic, but we missed it on our last two trips so it'll be a must-do for August!

What a fun ending to a very big day! I loved the photopass picture from Tower of Terror. Priceless...

I'm so happy the Cast Member was nice and let you ride TSMM with the rest of the family. You got some great photos in the queue. It was pretty obvious everyone was having a blast and enjoying each other's company.

For getting to the park later in the day, you really did get a lot accomplished!

I know I've said it before but this is my very favorite ride (that may be changing after riding FOP).
Interesting... I've heard great things about FOP!

I wasn't sure what Jimmy and Michelle did while we rode Tower but it looks like they got one of Michelle's favorites.
It looks like it might be Jimmy's favorite too.

I'm glad they were willing and able to help you out there! I mean you did have FP for the ride that just expired before you could get there. It isn't like you were just trying to sneak into the FP line.

The perfect end to the day. Start with a wedding and end with a show about imagination.

Finally caught up to the wedding!

1- I am NOT a snuggler, but my sister that was in the bed with me-- is. And there were not enough pillows for us to use and create a barrier. So that was uncomfortable.

2- my dad snored worse than I can ever remember that night. I remember thinking to myself how he would be walking me down the aisle in a few hours and I hope he didn't get sentimental because all I wanted to do was smother him with a pillow or punch him right in the jugular!

3-When we all finally did get up and moving, my dad turned into Grumpy REAL QUICK. So mom had to go stroke his ego and the two of them left the room to find breakfast.

4-My sister has no sense of urgency.

5-Because I was the only one sticking to the plan, I was the only one available to get Gia ready.

This was quite a list! I hope the day goes better than the night before and morning preparation. (I know it will.)

Great photo, and love the dress. ::yes::

I kept it to ward off tears… just didn't know it would be to wipe his tears (and my SWEAT).

We went to a wedding a couple of weeks ago and the poor groom got really emotional. Even he was laughing about it, while he was crying.

Not sure you can beat Danielle's mean mug in this one. It just comes naturally for her. She didn't notice the camera.

That is laugh-out-loud funny!

This picture is hanging in our house, HUGE! We just LOVE it!!!

Well yeah, I can see why!

I like this one too...too funny! :rotfl:

Still here and reading, but am completely overwhelmed with life right now. So, brief comments...

Speaking of turkey legs, does anyone remember Jordan? He could not stand them. He thought they were the grossest things ever. I miss Jordy so much! He was so fun to banter with and was just plain fun! We lost a true DISser when he went dark.

Great photo, and I especially like Michelle's hat!
THANK YOU! My husband and I got that hat at a plantation a few years ago. It's been good to me. Probably going to bring it back when we go next year. Already working on coordinated outfits :)

Michelle has a great sense of fashion.
Thanks, mom!

It looks like it might be Jimmy's favorite too.
Jimmy DOES NOT do rides, but he was SO IMPRESSED by Beauty and the Beast. Since it's my favorite, just wait until you see what we wear to MK the next day. Oh, and speaking of him hating rides, he actually just showed me a picture on facebook of a father and daughter recreating an old Splash Mountain ride photo. He joked about him doing that. I said, "We both know you aren't going to ride that." He said, okay, do they take a ride photo on It's a Small World?! ....oh, he kills me!

The perfect end to the day. Start with a wedding and end with a show about imagination.
I have this go big or go home attitude and an innate need to make the most of big days/events. So yes, it was AWESOME!

Great photo, and love the dress. ::yes::
Thank you! I'm certainly a fan of it!

I like this one too...too funny! :rotfl:
This was a picture I had in my mind from the moment I booked the photographer!

Just wanted to share a little life update from the trenches of new motherhood. This is our sweet little baby boy, John Paul. Our little Disney baby!

This is just a little piece of his room. I painted the letters myself. His Monster's Inc room is SO COOL, if I do say so myself.

My little monster...

And this is my FAVORITE! When my mom (his Minnie) and my dad (his Grumpy) came back from Disney, they got him his first pair of ears.

But I'm trying to find the time to move forward with the TR. I'm actually really excited about the next day (MK)... and our outfits of course. As of right now, my son just turned a month old this week. He's the cutest, sweetest little baby. And we've been VERY busy finishing school and ending summer with Gia.

I don't have much to add to mom's post of our DHS evening. While everyone was going to ride Tower, Jimmy and I waited in line for the last Beauty and the Beast show of the day. I was not going to miss it! Obviously, we got a turkey leg. Can't miss that either! I really thought we would be the only ones watching the show, but they finished the ride and we were able to hold down enough seats to all watch it together. That made me really happy.

Once we made our way over to the Voyage of the Little Mermaid, yes Gia was passed out on her daddy. It had been a really long day and she didn't nap. She chose, instead, to swim. Once we got into VLM she was awake and we all sat and played, waiting to be let into the theatre. It was after the show, at the gift shop right outside that she HAD to have the jasmine costume. Jimmy and I were not about to pay for that when she could get one back home for half as much... but... grandparents. I will say, she definitely got her money's worth! She wore it the rest of the trip and for weeks after, back at home. Since I had on a kinda crop top, she and I decided to pose like belly dancers. I thought it was only once, but going though the pictures, I'm realizing that was the only way she decided she wanted to pose the rest of the week. Looking back, that's really cute! I miss 5 years old. 7 years old is full of LOTS of talking, LOTS of question, and LOTS of contradicting EVERYTHING I SAY!

So after the back and forth on the costume, changing, and taking pictures, we finally made it to ABC Commisary for dinner with the rest of the crew.

Fantasmic was the BEST and BIGGEST way to end our wedding day with our family! I really was so glad to have my brother there and that was his only park day. Of course we had our dollar store glowstick necklaces LOL!

Now if you remember we chose the "in room celebration" as opposed to the limo ride. I was so overwhelmed by the magic of the whole day that I had completely forgot. When we got back to the room, there were white rose petals outside our door as we were trying to open the door. We opened the door to some serious MAGIC!

There were white rose petals EVERYWHERE, a bouquet of red roses in a vase, flameless candles, a spa package with towels with our names on them, a signed card from Minnie and Mickey, and these awesome chocolates. I actually found one of them in a bag, all melted and nasty not too long ago.

WHAT A GREAT WAY TO END THAT WONDERFUL DAY!!!! Now time to rest up and get ready for MK opening.

How precious is your little John Paul!! His pictures are making me melt a little. I'm so impressed with the Monsters Inc theme in his room <3

7 years old is full of LOTS of talking, LOTS of question, and LOTS of contradicting EVERYTHING I SAY!

Sounds about right!

We opened the door to some serious MAGIC!

How beautiful! That must have been amazing to come back to :)

I definitely love John Paul's room. It looks great. And he takes some pretty good pictures too!

7 years old is full of LOTS of talking, LOTS of question, and LOTS of contradicting EVERYTHING I SAY!
Sorry to burst your bubble, but each kid is different. Right now our 7 year old is the easy one and our 5 year old is the one that acts that way. :rolleyes1

That really is an amazing touch of magic!

John Paul is so precious. You really did a great job on his room.

The "in room celebration" was just the perfect way to end the magical day you had.

OH MY!!! That sounds unbelievably amazing!!! Just gorgeous.

It was busy and fun. A great combination of both. We lucked out getting some Disney pixie dust. We missed Fantasmic last month, hoping to get to see it next time around.

What a fun ending to a very big day! I loved the photopass picture from Tower of Terror. Priceless...

Thank you! I love it too!

We did have a great time together. I think this was the only ride we all did together the whole trip.

For getting to the park later in the day, you really did get a lot accomplished!

I felt we got a lot done in a small amount of time.
