So frustrated by website

So I'm going on my first RCL cruise in 24 days and am going with my mom and cousin. We're all in one room but I'm trying to pay for the excursions separately. I was able to book my mom's and mine using separate credit cards and then tried to go back in today to book my cousins. I selected to edit the cruise and it looked like I added her on. Then after I hit submit it showed that it cancelled my mom and my reservation!! I don't want to just rebook ours because I paid for them on a day where there was a 20% discount. Plus have the time the website won't bring up the cruise planner for me.

Am I the only one that has had a lot of problems with it? Disney's site seems so much easier to me!

I tried to call them now to correct the issue but I gave up after being on hold for a very long time. I hope my experience on the ship is better.

The website has been problematic since the last overhaul, but I can’t speak for the actual cruise booking as I use a TA for that.

I was having a heck of time with the website on Thursday, too. Drink packages dropped in price so I was trying to cancel and repurchase. Cancelling went okay but any time I tried to re-purchase, it threw an error. I finally had to call in and do it all on the phone. The rep mentioned the site was having a lot of problems that evening. Maybe it isn't sized well enough to handle high volume traffic when there is a special?

For some reason, cruise planner stopped working from my usual Chrome browser. It errored when trying to book an excursion (had to call Royal) and now i can't even select an existing booking. I switched to edge browser for cruise planner. Not sure if I clear my Chrome cache if this will fix it, but it is annoying.

We're booked on Enchantment of the Seas Nov. 2-5 with two other couples, friends from high school more than 50 years ago. This is our first time on RC. Is it my imagination, or is their website not particularly helpful? DH wanted to check on entertainment (shows, etc.) in the evening, but there's absolutely nothing about anything like that described. DH called RC and asked but was told that all that information would be on his activities sheet each day. He said he understood that specific times and places for activities would be noted there, he just wanted to know if indeed there were shows each evening. The RC agent repeated that the info would be on the activities sheet. How hard can it be to confirm that there is entertainment other than the casino? (not that I'm counting out the casino!) Can anyone tell me: are there shows in the evening?

Also, I couldn't find any info on dining facilities other than the three (four?) major restaurants. Are there other, smaller locations for a more casual meal? Open all day?

I think I've been spoiled by DCL! Thanks in advance for any/all help.

I finally was able to get RCL on the phone Friday. The first person I spoke with agreed that the site made an error in my situation. She put me on hold and then dropped my call while I was on hold. The call finally went to someone else who was a lot more helpful. I ended up spending 45 minutes on the call total to fix the situation.

To be honest it’s better to check out CC or the RC blog to get information than the website. It’s fine for booking things but not great for looking at information.

For entertainment on Enchantment, it should work the same as on DCL.

Dining, I’m not certain what’s available. Probably a Sorrentos (open late) and Promenade Cafe 24h) for free stuff. Not sure what else though.

Hope that helps somewhat.

My two rules when dealing with RCCL...
-Print out a copy of your first bill. I've had my total raise before paying off the cruise.
-Call a human being for any reservation/planning changes.

Starvenger, I'm sorry I'm so late in acknowledging your response; time just ran away this week! Good idea to check the blog, and also a good idea to print out the bill! Thank you, Moericus.
