Perhaps someone on the ground can first ascertain the actual, official location/s 's ASSports' DSA before the Moderators accept this direction?

We don't create or edit those maps. They're PDFs of the actual paper resort maps that someone on the WDWinfo.com staff has brought back from a trip to the resort, and I don't know how frequently they're replaced.

What we could do, instead, is a sort of crowd-sourced list of DSA locations that we maintain in one of the first posts on this sticky thread. Let me think about how best to accomplish that.

The maps aren't brand new so there are a few differences on each one. I spot checked Pop Century and there are 1 or 2 listed that are no longer there as well as one that has moved.

Probably because they move the DSA between Japan and Morocco during the various festivals--at least they did last year. Oddly enough--it was moved along the waterway in France directly behind its festival kiosk and in the area where all of the dining tables are set up and folks were trying to eat. Then again, during festival times there is a merchandise kiosk set up directly in front of the DSA in Japan/Morocco on the causeway side and Morocco's food kiosk is adjacent to it as well. Guess we'll see in a week whether it is temporarily relocated again.

If Disney would simply leave the DSA's alone, quit moving and removing--there would be less angst on all parts.

Anyone know the status of the DSA between tomorrowland and fantasy land? Just curious if/when Tron construction will cause this DSA to be relocated (and hopefully not removed altogether).

As far as I know there are two smoking areas in magic kingdom. Behind space mountain and next to thundermountain. I am not aware of any that is between tomorrow land and fantasy land.

I believe that is the DSA to which @CounselorX was referring.

I literally had the same question as people in my party are trying to find accommodations that allow smoking. I did a chat on the Disney website when finding a vacation package and asked if smoking was allowed on the porches of the cabins at Ft. Wilderness and the person said no. SO I am not sure if I just got someone that knows or doesn't know, if you know what I mean lol

THIS IS the Disney website info:

Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground
Smoking is permitted at campsites, on cabin porches and in designated outdoor smoking locations. Smoking is not permitted inside cabins.

Thanks. I feel like I am in a twilight zone lol. That's why I even commented that I don't know if the person knew or didn't know what they were talking about. Ugh

Basically, you have to take what a CM says and believe the opposite, or you can try to trick them and ask "Is smoking not not not not not allowed?" and then you'll at least have a 50% chance of getting the correct answer to a yes or no question.

well, I don't work for IT, or am I a moderator for these boards. but since DSAs is such a hot issue, I would think website posting them would keep them updated. esp.; at a resort. you have smokers who are disabled, and need to request a room near a DSA. you have on smokers who suffer from asthma and other respiratory issues who need to request a room away from a DSA.. I would think keeping the resort maps with the DSAs updated wouldn't be such a problem sorry.

someone "on the ground" did correct this.. on the "official all star sports" resort page.. I'm just simply trying to get all the moderators on the disboards to make sure they have the correct info..

I used to be a smoker. now I HATE the soke, but my husband still smokes, but is disabled. and many other people on these boards are allergic or have asthma.
this board totes, ' just be aware of the location of the DSAS. and keep to them if you are a smoker. and you can avoid them if you are not a smoker....
and all of us know this is just not true. please share only correct info.. or at least admit it if you don't know.

It was there when I was. Lots of smokers. Could even smell the smoke from the People Mover.

Not sure what will happen when they start construction. Hopefully, they don't forget about DSA. I like them, just as long as they aren't in main areas that I need to walk past.
