Has anyone ever been to SkyVenture in Orlando? It is across from Wet 'n Wild. I saw it on a program telling about different things to see in Orlando. It is a High Energy Vertical Wind Tunnel where you float on a column of air. (Sort of like skydiving). Has anyone done this and is it worth going to?

Here's my take on SkyVenture, from "The Other Orlando":

The folks that brought you SkyCoaster bring you this free-fall skydiving adventure. SkyVenture is housed in an odd looking tower that packs quite a punch. Inside is a powerful fan that creates a 120 mile per hour rush of air in a vertical wind tunnel.

Following a course of instruction in the fine art of skydiving, you are suited up and walked high into the tower where, along with your instructor, you step out into mid air and learn to fly. The upwards rush of air keeps you aloft as your instructor takes your hand and shows you how to negotiate the updraft. Around you, a 360 degree virtual reality display heightens the sensation of free falling thousands of feet above the ground below. The entire experience takes about an hour, although the free fall portion lasts only about two minutes, which they say is about as much as first-timers can take.
