Has anyone stayed at Silver Sevens (used to be "Terribles") on Paradise?
I just booked a birthday trip (September 30-October 7) and I am staying at Excalibur (Thanks to MyVegas Facebook game) from September 30th to the 3rd and then from the 3rd to the 7th (my bday is the 4th) I am staying at an off the strip hotel called "Silver Sevens" on Paradise, which is right around the strip.

Anyone stayed at this hotel before? If so what are your thoughts?

Yes I have read many reviews. they are all mixed. Many good and MANY bad. 50/50. I think it got 3.5 stars

I live in Vegas but I have never stayed there. I have also heard mixed reviews. It is close to the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino which could be a great place to see a show or go to the pool club (infamous Rehab). Silver Sevens is definitely NOT "right around the strip" and I would not consider it walking distance. It is probably about 1.5 miles from the Strip and you'll be right by Bally's, Bellagio, Caesar's at LV Blvd. and Flamingo. If you're looking for an off the strip hotel, that is pretty much on the strip, I would suggest the Westin Las Vegas, Trump Towers, or the Hooters hotel.

Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions:)

I second this! Also wanted to add that before it was the Silver Sevens it was Terribles....and I heard it was just that!
If its budget that is the issue maybe check out Baymont Inn. Its South of Mandalay bay near the outlet mall. Not really walking distance either but a nicer area than Silver Sevens. And you would be close to the mall and Town Square which is nice!

Thanks Dot2Vegas,
I actually graduated from UNLV back in 2009 and knew it was a "terribles," hotel. I just didn't know that the name "terribles" actually was how people describe the hotel. Unfortunately the Baymont has no rooms available for the dates i chose, so I guess I will stay at the Silver Sevens and give it my own review. hehe.

Every hotel has plenty of good and bad reviews! Hopefully with the name change they changed up the quality of the hotel. I know there other places on the South strip area, but I cant think of the names. Another option if you wanted to change- I think its a Double Tree on Warm Springs near the airport. But that puts you even further out and not much around you. Have a great trip! Wherever you stay will be fine!
