We will be staying in Las Vegas following Disney trip/wedding trip to LA area (Newport Beach) and I wanted some info on shopping like a classic shopping mall or an outlet mall. Nothing too fancy, just regular stuff. With a family of five we just buy the regular stuff - no designer labels! ;) Coming from Canada we always enjoy the different kind of things you can buy in the US. Also looking for a Target. We are staying at a timeshare - Cancun Resort at 8335 Las Vegas Boulevard South if that helps with our location.
Thanks. Deb

There are two outlets both owned by Premium Outlets one at the north and one at the south of the strip. The one at the south used to be Belz.

We also liked the regular mall just opposite the Wynn hotel, on the strip, called the Fashion Show.

We were in Vegas last week & went to both of the shopping areas Claire L mentioned plus the Primm Outlet Center.

I love the Fashion Show Mall - they have a huge Macy's, a Nordstrom, a Dillard's and a Robinson's May which is similar to a Macy's, plus a lot of 'regular' shops you see in malls, plus some that might be new to you.

The outlet center south of the strip wasn't that great - just ok. They did have a very large DisneyLAND outlet there which had a ton of stuff at very good prices. It is right next to the Sacks 5th Ave outlet. Also in that center is a Gymboree outlet. There are 2 or 3 different sections of that mall, I drove from the section with the Disneyland outlet to the larger one with all of the rest of the stores. Besides those 2 stores I didn't find much else worth noting, but it depends of course on what you are looking for.

On the north end of the strip were the "premium" outlets, this is an outdoor mall so you might want to go at night rather than in the heat of the day. This one was nicer than the one at the south end and had a very nice Coach outlet.

Another option is the Primm outlet center which is an easy 25-30 minute drive straight down south on I-15. They have a Williams-Sonoma/Pottery Barn outlet which was very nice. That mall is more upscale than the mall on the south end of the strip. They also had an Old Navy outlet (which I've never seen) and a Gap outlet.

Let me know if you have any questions on Vegas - we go a few times every year. Have fun! :sunny:

Going by the given address you'll be very close to the mentioned outlet mall. Though it's not very impressive.

If you have a car my suggestion would be to head over to Henderson (only a few miles east), and go to Galleria at Sunset. It's your standard indoor mall, but much nicer than the other "local malls" in the area. There is also a Target next door that you were looking for.

Fashion Show is also a great choice if you've never been.

Belz Outlets are right near the Strip just on the outskirts and within eye view of Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino. Primm Outlets are about 40 miles west of the Strip and caters to young shoppers. While at Primm you can visit Buffalo Bills Hotel & Casino and ride their cool Desperado roller coaster. It takes you outside the casino and rises above the hotel itself. Then drops you some 25 stories to stave off your thrill seeking adventure.
