Shanghai Disneyland Hotel

I was lucky enough (well spent my hard earned dollars) to stay two nights Club Level at the Shanghai Disneyland Hotel last week. So thought I would share some pictures and notes.

Privileges: So this is the saddest note, there are no privileges for hotel guests, no early entry, no separate queue for entry or security, not even much worth taking from the room other than a note pad and some writing paper. Obviously they haven't need these extra incentives to get bookings, but at AUS$600/night it would be nice to have been able to jump the entry queue even a little. (But this is my only grumble)

Getting to/from: As a number of people have noted the Hotel is set apart from the Disneyland Park, and you have the choice of walking (about 15 minutes), taking a bus (every 10 minutes) or taking a ferry (every 20 minutes). The bus has a 5 minute walk at the Park end, so to start the day I would recommend the walk, which is very beautiful through Wishing Star Park, and then use the bus or ferry home.

Lobby/Check-in: As we were Club Level we were escorted up to Level 7 to the Club for check-in. If was all very smooth, and the receptionists spoke good English, we were able to partake of some afternoon tea in the club lounge before heading to our room. Our room was on Level 6, and just down the corridor from our room you could get an amazing view of the lobby, which although not as large as Grand Californian or AKL is beautiful none the less.

Rooms: The rooms are also stunning and a good size. There were 2 double beds (the alternative is a King bed) and our room also had a murphy bed.

Bathroom: the bathroom was pretty much the standard Disney option, although the bath, vanity and toilet were in a single room. Again it was spacious and beautifully decorated. Products were just basic H2O which was a little disappointing, and included shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, moisturiser and soap. In one of the drawers there were also toothbrushes, shower cap, comb, shaver, sewing kit and cotton buds.

In the cupboard there were robes and slippers, plus the usual.

To top it off our room had a park view - and a great one at that. It was lovely during the day and even more special at night. It gave an excellent view of the night time show (projections and fireworks) and the soundtrack could be played through the TV.

Drinks: For the Australians you will be looking for a drink and something to nibble, but you will find the mini bar empty (other than tea and coffee), if you are club you can get free alcoholic drinks from 5pm - 7:30pm in the lounge (along with lots of lovely food, which easily made our dinner for both nights). Alternatively there was a lovely bar off the lobby.

I have some photos of the club buffet (but on another device) so will upload them later. But suffice to say the food was much more plentiful than you get in normal WDW Concierge Lounge.

Was it worth it? Definitely for the two nights we stayed. Happy to answer any questions.

Thanks for sharing :goodvibes You were super lucky with your view!

I agree that it was a wonderful experience staying club level, and only wish I'd had longer to enjoy it all properly!

we were there for 4 days this fall and loved it! Architecture both the hotels and park were super excellent. Th park castle is enormous and a thing to see. wasn't able to find our way around to well and guess we were just anxious to get to another part! We \would both LOVE to go back and the people could not have been better!

Wow it looks so beautiful. We are still going back and forth for which hotel to choose. The website won't let us book yet anyway (going in April) so I guess we've still got time!
