Has anyone done any sewing of bedding?
I want to make my DD4 a duvet cover and was just wondering what kind of fabric would be best-If I use the quilting kind would it be sturdy enough?
I know you can also use two sheets together, as well. Anybody have any thoughts?
All opinions will be valued and appreciated!! :thumbsup2
Thanks so much :goodvibes

Depends on what kind of bedding you are making. If you are making a duvet cover, then lighter fabrics work best since you will be washing it more frequently. If you are making a real bedspread, then higher-end fabrics make the best choice. Sheets offer the advantage of wider sizing, but they tend to be more "see-through" than other fabrics. My advice is to keep it simple if you are an intermediate sewer, as the size of these projects can sometimes overwhelm.
