Today, on Paul Harvey (RiP), Paul Harvey Jr. told the story of Mortimor and Eli and how "Eli" had to release his fury friend, Mortimer, into the woods. The soft-hearted advertising exec, who was on his last financial legs, did not want Mortimer to find the mousetraps in the restaurant below that used the same cheese that "Eli" would feed Mortimer. Eli's wife would prefer to call the mouse Mickey, and all of this would come to pass for Walter "Eli"as Disney in the year 1923 when Walt said good by to Mortimer and Advertising, but hello to his own studio.
