Rose and Crown

We had 7:10 reservations, but arrived early at 6:30. We were seated at 6:45 outside so that we could see Illuminations.

Appetizers - Cheese plate, Shrimp Cocktail, Potato Leek Soup. The shrimp cocktail was small (only 4 little shrimp). They were good though. The cheese plate had a nice selection of cheese and we all liked it. The potato soup was very good.

Dinners - Fish & Chips, Cottage Pie and Steak and Fish. The fish was good. Nice and crispy. The chips weren't that good. Just tasted like bland steak fries. The steak was little tough and fatty, so I didn't care for it too much. The cottage pie was tasty.

Desserts - apple crumble, sticky toffee pudding and some kind of coffee pudding special dessert. The kids had a make your own sundae. All were really good.

As soon as we finished dessert, the fireworks started and we had the best view of Illuminations ever.
