Like many other have said, I think it could be worth seeing once.

Personally - it's not something I'd mind skipping the next time, but it's my husband's favorite show. He's really into the laser/light type shows. It is very pretty to look at and unique in regards to other nighttime shows, just not the most entertaining show in my opinion. But of course, that all depends on what you find entertaining :)

I really like the show, and I would recommend to see it at least once so you can make your own decision on the show.

I find the music to be up there with Illuminations, but Illuminations still has my favorite music score out of any nighttime show on WDW property. It's a very different show. Don't go in expecting fireworks, because you won't see any. It is a beautiful show, but I do think it still needs a little something to it.

I usually see this show at least one time a trip. I would see Rivers of Light over some other shows on WDW property.

Despite the mixed reviews, we booked a TH dining package for our trip so I hope it's good! We wanted to eat at TH anyway so I figured we might as well see the show, too!

It's worth seeing at least once.

We did this as well. We are going the end of February and have the dining package so why not eat at th and get a free FP to the show?

Another vote for YES! If you like animals (and who doesn't), then you will like/love this show. It made us want to run home and hug our cats and dogs.

While Illuminations is still my favorite, I really enjoyed ROL. It's a more tranquil show than a fireworks based show - a totally different experience. We used FP because it was a day we were going into the park late and would not need to try for a fourth FP. I think everyone should try it once because it's so different than the other night time shows that it's hard to tell if it's really your thing until you've seen it for yourself.

I also loved all the animal projections around the lake before the show even started. Who knew an elephant shadow could be so cute?

I haven't seen it but I appreciate all the comments on ROL. We are currently a group who don't really enjoy spending much time waiting on a show/parade. I expect one of these days we'll be passing by close to showtime and there might be a few places to sit so we'll go see it. I bought the CD of the music last Fall and it's very nice.:)

Tiffin's dining package was clutch for this. You end up saving money if you order the right stuff.

ROL was a one and done for me. I really wanted to love it, but it was just okay for me. If you plan on doing a TS restaurant at AK anyway, then might as well get a dining package because I do think it's always worth experiencing something at least once yourself to form your own opinion. But, if you are only doing the dining for the sake of the reserved seating, then I would not bother and just take my change with a standby entrance.

I enjoyed it and recommend viewing it as all the others mentioned. I can see Disney tweaking the show and see a lot of potential in the future.

Boring, not worth package to me, but you can get an FP to try it once.

It's good, but definitely not worth a dinner reservation pkg. It's iffy if it's worth a FP with it being cancelled more often recently than before. Maybe the best thing to do is do standby an hour before the later show (assuming there are 2 or more shows)

I loved HEA and ROL. I pass on illuminations. And we didn't see Fantasmic this last time, so we will this time around. I guess if you go often enough, you pick your favorites and move on.

I was just amazed by ROL...It was so different and just so beautiful. I will definitely want to see it again and will see it again soon. I was also blown away by HEA, which I thought was stunning!

We did it once with dining package, which for Tiffins is actually a good deal — and we wanted to eat there anyway.

We were glad we saw it once but won’t go again. Visually attractive but just too slow for us.

We were VERY glad that we had the dining package and didn’t wait for it... might not have seemed worth it if we’d had to.

As others have said, though, some really love it, many seem to be willing to take it or leave it after doing it once.

This was a one and done for me. DD15 and I had a FP in October. It was really warm that night and we were packed in like sardines. The constantly yelling next to us by CMs directing people where to go was annoying, and we had to listen to it for 45 minutes. They were telling people to only go halfway down a row. You can't tell guests that don't understand English to go halfway down the row. So when the CM would point at the row and make a motion for people to scoot down, they would go all the way down. Then the CMs would yell at them not to go all the way down, just halfway down. I love WDW CMs and I respect what they do, but this was just silly.
The show itself was underwhelming. I appreciate good music, and this was okay, but it just didn't grab me. Wishes grabs me, HEA grabs me, even the music for Illuminations and Fantasmic! grab me, but this made me want to go to sleep. The floats are pretty, but the water spray screens didn't work for me. They work in Fantasmic! because they're showing cartoons. These screen show what appears to be videos of animals, and it's really hard to see some of them. We waited for the show for over 45 minutes, and the show itself is so short! The seats are incredibly uncomfortable, and if you have to leave to use the washroom before the show begins, there's a good chance you will not get your seat back. As soon as someone would get up, the CMs would tell people to scoot together to make room for more people. Ugh.
We also had a young girl directly in front of us singing and dancing to the entire show, standing up, waving her arms all around, constantly talking to the woman sitting next to her (who she did not know), all while the girl's mother completely ignored her.
DD was bored out of her mind. Turns out, she thought it was an Avatar show and at the end she said "That had nothing to do with Avatar". I laughed a little at that and apologized that I didn't describe it to her ahead of time. I would've much rather spent my time walking around Pandora or riding KS one more time (or 3 more times).

We loved the show and will certainly go again on our next trip. We were lucky enough to snag a 4th Fastpass for it.
