Have you priced out flying into Las Vegas and going from there? For rock formations, you would have weeks worth to visit 
. Utah's alone, are unbelievably beautiful. Add in AZ, Four Corners, there's just SO much to see. That's what we're planning on doing for our next trip. The road trips, and state specific, forums on tripadvisor are very helpful for planning this.
