Recipe calls for sherry vinegar....

Can I use red wine vinegar?

While I'm at it- the recipe also calls for white wine- is white zinfindel (sp?)okay?


(It's for a tomato sauce- I have my own recipe, but thought this one sounded interesting- saw it on tv)

You can sub red wine vinegar for the sherry vinegar. I would not use white Zin for the wine though--it is a little sweet. A red wine substitution would be OK--if you don't have any wine--you can always use chicken broth.
