We are looking into the 4 night Disney Dream. What is the difference between a verandah and a Navigator's Verandah. Also which has less motion the front or the back of the ship. Any info on this ship would be greatly appreciated. Also how is the weather in January at castaway and Nassau. Are you able to swim, is the water too cold.
Thanks

A Navigator's verandah has some obstruction to the view. Most of them are fairly minor. You can see the curved area on the left of this verandah:

A regular verandah doesn't.

Generally, the aft of the ship tends to be less of a problem for those with sea sickness, although both forward and aft do more more than midship.

Forward you get a lot of up and down; aft, not as much up and down plus some vibration.

There are two things to deal with when swimming in January in the Bahamas. The first is water temperature and the second is the air temperature. I've lived most of my life in the south, and I think the water in January is too cold for swimming, it is usually below 75°. But, many people from the north find that temperature fine. If it's a Nice sunny day, that can help. But if it's overcast then the water will feel even colder.

Most of the 7A's on the Dream are just fine, but you should avoid 5188 and 5688, because this is what the verandah looks like
