Question regarding going to park before check in....

So we only live a few hours away from the parks. We plan on leaving our house around 6am to make the opening for Animal kingdom. We are staying onsite and understand that we get free parking. Since we will be arriving at Animal Kingdom before check in at resort, what do we tell the parking attendant at Animal Kingdom. Do we show them our reservation or just tell them we are staying onsite.

If you do on line check in you are checked in, it will show up on your MB, it think it will show as early at 6 am. You can do on line check in any time before you arrive. You might get a text when your room is ready, you might not but you can still go to the front desk when you go back to the resort either way if you wish. I tend to do it about a week before I go, we tend to arrive around 2 in afternoon and rarely get the room ready text. Even though we have done on line check in we normally go to the front desk to let them know we are there if we haven't gotten the room ready text yet.

They can scan your MB for parking at the parks. Whether you have checked in or not should be irrelevant - your resort reservation for that day will show when they scan and you should be waved on through. In the unlikely event that something goes wrong and they require you to pay the parking fee, keep your receipt and take it to Guest Relations or the concierge at your hotel later and ask for a refund. It won't be a problem.
