Question about noise level at Boardwalk

We walked through the lobby of the Boardwalk one day and found it to be charming. We might stay sometime but wanted to know how sound-proofed the rooms are considering all the actiivity going on right outside and the fireworks at Epcot not too far away. Maybe everyone who stays there is always out in the evenings so they couldn't comment on the noise level, but I would appreciate any input.

We stayed in a room last year right over some of the shops at the Boardwalk. We could hear the honk, honk, honk of the Friendship boats as they arrived and departed but it wasn't a bother at all. You could hear and see the Epcot fireworks, which we loved. The only problem we had at all was a group of really rowdy people who must have been returning to the resort around 2 am and they were basically screaming and running across the lawn area behind the lobby. They were just plain inconsiderate - which could happen anywhere.

We loved sitting our on our balcony and watching the hustle and bustle below.

But - if you would like to stay there and NOT have a Boardwalk view, just request that. They also have lovely garden, pool and water views.

when we stayed at BWI. We had a jr. suite just above the Boardwalk Bakery & Flying Fish area (kind of between the two). There was no noice from the Boardwalk at all unless we had the balcony doors open.

The only troublesome aspect was the wonderful aromas wafting from Spoodles/Boardwalk Bakery/Flying Fish at various mealtimes. It seemed as if we were perpetually hungry! :D

We have stayed at the BW a lot (DVC Members) and the only time we had a noise problem was when we had a BW view and were above the Brewery. When all the bars let out it was rather loud. Other than that (at 1am) the view was great and people watching was fun.

We always have a pool view (which I love) and we have never experienced ANY noise problem.

We love the Boardwalk Inn more than any other hotel! I always ask for a room overlooking Epcot, and it is wonderful to watch the fireworks from your balcony window, especially since you can see many of the buildings from the World showcase lit up too. We have never had a problem with noise, but we've never stayed over the Boardwalk shops. I don't think that you will have any regrets if you book this great resort.

hi: we're also dvc members at bwv. the worst noise problem we've ever had was an angry neighbor. that could happen anywhere though. once the balcony doors are closed, there isn't too much noise. one of the units we stayed in was near Atlantic Dance and the noise didn't bother us at all.

We had a BWI room that faced the BWV side of the BW and the rosegarden enterance to the lobby. We could hear the tooting of the boats through our balcony but it was not annoying or very loud. When the doors are closed you hear very little, we had no trouble going to sleep. THings really quiet down around 11pm.
