POR in March

We haven't been to POR in a couple of years. Has there been any changes? Do they still offer the water shuttle to Downtown Disney?

Last time we stayed in the AB section (couldn't stand the decor, but loved the proximity to the food court). Any preferences between the mansions and the bayou?

We have stayed at PO-R twice... in the mansions in 1993 and in the bayou in 1998... then this past October we stayed at PO-FQ, and took advantage of many of the amenities at PO-R.

Personally, we liked the bayou rooms better... of course, we liked the rustic charm, as well. We definitely agree that they are the most convenient to the food court, but if walking to the food court isn't a problem, perhaps you might like to check out Magnolia Terrace or Partierre Place (we think the butterfly garden in the back of Partierre Place is quite charming), and both are very convenient to the main pool.

As for what has changed... there is now a water taxi to and from PO-FQ from 9 am until 9:30 pm. The boat still goes to DTD starting around 4:30 pm, and runs until 11 pm. The food court was undergoing a major renovation, as was the main pool, so check before you go to make sure that the main pool has reopened.

Everything else was about the same.

Just got back from a Christmas trip. The resort is in excellent shape. The boats still run (usually start at 4 PM). Boatwright's is excellent. The CM's were wonderful. The new 2003 merchandise is really nice. The pool will have been rehabbed by your visit which should be wonderful! Have a great stay!!
