Pool Closure Times During Different Times of the Year

Good morning! I've tried searching for answers here, on Facebook and generally on the internet but can't find comprehensive information about what time the pools close year round.

Totally understand that the hours in the summer are the longest (until 10 PM it sounds like). During the fall and spring, it seems like some things (the slides, lazy river) close at 6 and the pools close at 8.

We're going at the beginning of January - Do the pools follow the same hours as they do in the fall (6/8 pm) or do they have an earlier/different closure time?

Thanks!

When we were there for Thanksgiving a couple years ago, it was 6/8 timeframe. I’m sure that’s what it would be all winter, too, since it doesn’t really get cold. 🙂

The refurbishment is scheduled to occur in two phases. The first phase will be from August 19 to October 11 and will require the closure of the following water features:
  • Waikolohe Stream, also known as Aulani’s lazy river
  • Tubestone Curl Water Slide
  • Menehune Bridge
  • Waikolohe Stream Whirlpool Spa
The features refurbished in the first phase should reopen before work commences on the second phase.
The second phase of refurbishment will be from October 14 to December 17 and will see the closure of the following water features:
  • Waikolohe Pool, also known as Aulani’s main pool
  • Volcanic Vertical Waterslide
  • Aulani Pool Parties
  • Rainbow Reef, Aulani’s saltwater snorkel lagoon
  • Waikolohe Pool Whirlpool Spa
  • Both ‘Alohi Point Whirlpool Spas
For guests planning to stay at Aulani between August 19 to December 17, 2019, during the refurbishment, Aulani will offer a $50 resort credit per room, per night for any length of stay. The resort credit can be used for dining, merchandise, and spa offerings as well as for excursions.
DVC Member Services has confirmed that members using DVC points to reserve a stay at Aulani during the refurbishment will be eligible for the $50 per night resort credit offer.

We're going after the refurbishment :) I'm wondering about general hours for the pools in January.

I’m going to assume January is like the fall because sunrise to sunset in Hawaii is 7 am to 6 pm in January, similar to what it is in the fall. Hawaii doesn’t observe daylight savings time. Lazy river always closes first.
