Does anyone have any details about watching fireworks from a private pontoon? TIA

Thats the number we used to rent a fireworks cruise to see the MK fireworks in October. Our boat left from the Contemporary dock. There were 9 in our party. Our two grandsons wore life vests. The skipper provided soft drinks and individual snack bags. Fireworks were at 9, we left the dock at 8. After the fireworks we stopped to see the Electric Water Parade. Price was somewhere around $300 plus tip.

We had a great time.

We did this on our last trip, I think it was $230+ tip. Left from WL, was the beat thing we’ve done at Disney to date! My family loved it.

What’s Included
Each cruise is accompanied by a captain, and includes assorted snacks and soft drinks. Festive banners and balloons are also included in the cost—and can be requested at the time of booking.
Private Dining menu selections are custom add-ons, and are not included in the charter cost.
Pricing
Explore starting-from rental prices for fireworks cruises:
  • The 21-foot pontoon starts at $299 plus tax (seats 8 Guests)
  • The 25-foot boat starts at $349 plus tax (seats 10 Guests)
  • The Grand 1 Yacht starts at $399 per hour, plus tax (seats 18 Guests—or 17 if traveling with a butler)
Pricing may vary based on time of day and is subject to change. Private Dining and other enhancements are available for an additional charge.

You can get a pontoon boat at the Grand Floridian for maybe $60 to $75 dollars per hour in the daytime, and drive it yourself. It’s a great way to relax away from the crowds. At night, they don’t allow guests to pilot their own boats, so you need a Disney “Captain”. This is why the cost is so much higher at night.

Your DVC Discount applies.

We have also done it, but ours was a wee bit more expensive as we put champagne and tuxedo strawberries on the list when we booked.
Same thing for illumination cruise. Do they still do that? (For the new show of course).
