Pickup truck/SUV owners intentionally blocking electric charging spaces in parking lots

Asked on the bicycle forum and whoosh! Right over their heads. Discussion is expanding on that the cyclist should be in the lane, why they should be in the lane, this rider says he does this, that rider says she does that at intersections... LOL.

On a side note one thing to be careful of in this scenario is not to stare left waiting for traffic to clear and then proceed right without making eye contact with the cyclist so you know they aren't also waiting to go right on red. Also make sure you always use signals around cyclists so they know your intentions. It make it safer for everyone.
You can read the body language of the cyclist. If they're perched on the seat, pedal foot down, maybe one hand on the handlebar, etc, they're not planning on going anywhere at the moment. Both hands on the handlebars, off the seat and pedal up ready to go, looking left, yup, they're making a right also. Cyclists should use signals, but remember, a cyclists gives up half his control in order to signal. Thus, they may not in every situation. The goal is to get going and up to speed as quickly as possible and starting out with your arm out signaling and your weight on the seat instead of on your arms and top pedal ready to go makes a significant difference in starting in traffic.
