"Party of 13, Your Vacation is Now Ready"

So, this is another day that I don’t know what order we did things in (I obviously learned to take better notes for the Jan. 2013 trip). I do know that we did WS (at least France, China & Italy, anyway).

I had chocolate cake in France (I don’t remember the actual name of it) & it was DELICIOUS! DM & I split a ham & cheese croissant, & it was fabulous as always.
I know DMC & I shared some orange chicken in China, & I enjoyed that a lot! I love Chinese food, so I enjoyed China a lot. DMC got a parasol (for lack of a better word) with her name written in Chinese on it…it didn’t remain in her possession for very long though!



I think this was taken in Germany…not totally sure on that one though.
I do remember DOC, DMC, & I sharing some gelato as we watched some acrobats in Italy.

This guy was giving DM a mini-heart attack.





At some point we made our way to Future World. I know we rode Soarin’, which freaked DOA & DOC out. They couldn’t believe we thought it was fun. Whatever. And then we also rode Nemo & did Turtle Talk. We took a lot of pictures outside.
DYC fell asleep watching the little ducks that befriended us.

Because DGF was on a scooter, we were escorted to the handicap entrance, where a nice lady offered to take a group picture for us



We did Spaceship Earth at some point. DOA, DGM, DM & DYA took a mother-daughter picture outside the ride.



We also did Livin’ With the Land.





Sorry this update is so scattered; I wasn’t very smart with my note-taking on this trip. (Plus we did a lot of sitting around waiting for people on this day, but I won't go into that).

Finally! The day we would go to my favorite park (close behind MK anyway), BB! I dont know what makes it so special for me, but I really love it! DGM & DGF decided to head to Vero Beach for the day to visit some friends instead of coming with us. They knew they wouldnt be able to do the stairs and whatnot, so I was glad they had a plan to do something they wanted to do.

Wow, I wish I were in WDW right now. Im listening to my Disney Pandora station & have been having a Disney movie marathon the past few days&I may be making my withdrawal worse, but oh well.

Anywho, DYC was fascinated with the stairs in our house. Dont ask me why, shes 2.

We finally left the house and headed to BB! I was so excited! It had been 3 years since I had been, & I was so glad to be back.

First up had to be the Toboggan Racers; it was my first ride the year we got to open the park & it was the ride that caused DLB to get his mat pushed by a CM&Ahh, good times J Well, what I wasnt expecting was for this ride to terrify DMC. She loved it the last time she was there, but this time&not so much. Whatever.

Then we headed to Runoff Rapids (I think). The enclosed slide (which you can only ride if youre in a single tube) is awesome! All three are great & even better if youre riding double with someone more than a foot taller than you. DDad & I rode, & we FLEW down that slide! It was amazing!

After riding a few more slides here & there, we decided to go meet back up with DYA, DYU, & DYC at the kiddie area (cant remember the name&sorry).

We played in the water with DYC for a little while before deciding to do a kind of baby swap for Teamboat Springs so that everybody could ride at least once. This ride is a lot of fun if you have more adults than kids in a raft!

J Unfortunately the PP pictures we took in front of the giant Mickey made out of rafts is missing L Cant quite figure that one out, but oh well.

So, the rest of this day is a little fuzzy…I think this is the day we went to Beaches & Cream. If it’s not…oh well.

We (I think) went back to the house, showered & got dressed to head to:



I was super excited to go after reading a bunch of good reviews on the DIS.
Soon, we were being handed our buzzer & told we could wander around the Boardwalk until it was our turn. DLB of course wanted to go to the arcade, so that’s where we headed first.

We wandered around the Boardwalk some more & soon our buzzer was going off.

I ended up ordering the Fudge Mud Slide. Ignore my face in this picture; I’m really not sure what I was doing.

I absolutely LOVED this sundae! It was delicious! DOC ate all of her No Way Jose & I couldn’t believe it!

Here she is drinking the last of her ice cream (it melted).



We finished up our treats & headed back to the house. We had a big day at DHS planned for tomorrow!

Hey there readers! I’m back for another update! The dreaded departure day was getting closer & closer, & we were all doing our best to avoid thinking about it.

Today, not everybody was going to DHS. The grandparents knew they wouldn’t be able to ride anything; DYA & DYU knew that there wasn’t anything for DYC either. So, they decided to stay home & sleep in.

Our first ride upon arrival was the one, the only….TSMM!! DOA, DOU, DOC, & DMC had never ridden it, so I was excited to introduce them to a favorite of mine & DM’s.

I love the Scrabble board on the ceiling!

After our spin through the Midway Mania, we decided we wanted to mess around in the “Honey I Shrunk the Kids” Playground…we’re that awesome.

DDad thought it would be funny to get pictures of all of us trying to climb out at the bottom of the slide.







I think DOC refused to go down the slide.

Here we are climbing through the…the…I honestly don’t know what it’s called.







And now we’re coming out of it





Then we headed over to the Backlot Tour…I’ve heard rumors that Disney is getting of rid of this attraction…Anybody know if this is actually true?

Once again (for the second or third time) DDad was picked to participate in the water pre-show thing.



This time he was the captain of the ship rather than the guy who gets water dumped on him.

I have to say, if Disney does remove the Backlot Tour, I won’t be entirely sad to see it go. It’ll be good to see something new in its place.

We decided to head over to Star Tours next. I can only ride this once now, but it’s still fun to do.

DLB wanted to do the “Build Your Own Light Saber” once the ride was over. He bought that & a Darth Vader mask.



We headed to TGMR next. This is my favorite prop in the whole thing:
Mary Poppins’s carousel horse!

After our tour of the movies, the guys decided they wanted to see Lights, Motor, Action. While they did that, we girls knew we had to go see The Beauty & the Beast show!

We got frozen lemonade & pretzels on the way over to the show. We found seats & sat down to wait. While we were waiting for the show to start, DMC & I noticed something odd in front of us. There was a group of girls, probably in their twenties, sitting a couple rows ahead of us. One of the girls had something in her mouth. DMC & I looked at each other with an expression that said “Surely not?” We looked again just as she turned her head. And sure enough, she had a pacifier in her mouth! What?! I still can’t quite figure it out.

Soon enough the show started & our attention was captured. I would LOVE to be in this show someday!

After the show, we were hungry for lunch so we started on our quest to find something to eat. I have no idea where we ended up eating, but I do know that it was very close to ToT & the guys met us over there. DMC decided to overcome her fear & ride ToT with DDad, DOC, & DOA (maybe?).



When she got off the ride, she was smiling, but when she got back over to us she said “I almost died!” LOL. But when we asked her if she would ride it again, she said “Heck yeah!” She is so crazy!

We headed back to the house to shower & get ready for dinner with the whole group.

We couldn't believe it either! It was all we could do to keep from laughing hysterically. We had a great time, although there WERE moments that were frustrating just due to the size of out group. Thanks for reading!

In my family, we would have laughed hysterically regardless. I can't imagine how tough it is with a group that big, I go solo or with only one other person, so it's easy to get around!
