Paris yellow vest protests - cause for concern?

We are staying in Paris both before and after our visit to DLP this spring. We had hoped the yellow vest protests would have stopped by now, but that seems not to be happening. The news we see is that these protests often become violent and have caused damage and disruption at or near tourist areas.

Is it correct that these events happen primarily on Saturdays? Should we avoid tourist areas in Paris on Saturdays? Any other days or specific areas we should steer clear of?

Have the protests interrupted public transport? We are planning to take the train from Paris to/from DLP.

It would make sense that it's mainly in the weekend, as people work during the week.

I wouldn't worry now, as Spring is still a few months away. If it happens, it happens, and there is nothing you can do about it now.
Better to wait till you get to Paris to see how the situation is then, and ask your hotel if there are any areas are to avoid.

Disruptions in public transport are more likely to happen to these specific workers going on strike than protests from yellow vests. Their frustration is aimed at the government and usually yellow vests go to buildings that symbolize power, like the senate or the national assembly.
