Our Happily Ever After Begins at WDW... An August 2016 Disneymoon report! The Re-write!

Oh thank you! You have a great trip too! Two months to go, whoooohooooo. Yes, I plan to do FP+ as soon as I can tomorrow, cross your fingers, ha. Yep, can't wait for POR too, it looks so fun and relaxing, like you said. Two months til FUN!!!!! Thanks again :)

This is awesome!

While going through the FP+ line, a cast member saw our Bride/Groom gear, and was nice enough to give us anytime FP's for AK! We rode EE again.

So is this picture... the guy in the red & blue plaid shirt is "Dre"- or Anthony Anderson and the kid next to him in the white shirt is Marcus Scribner "Junior".

I spotted another filming site for "Blackish", and attempted and failed to get a worthwhile picture.

And in this shot, you can better see the kid between the two- in the blue & plaid shirt- over the head of the guy in the hat- who is Miles Brown or "Jack". So, I'd say even though you aren't looking at them straight on, that these are pretty good celeb pictures for being at Disney.

Really enjoyed reading your TR! I've done the pick a pearl experience before and loved it, although it was years ago before we had kids. Our next trip is this August and I want to let my daughter do it. I loved the cage you chose. Do you remember how much the necklace was?

I don't remember exactly, but it was reasonable. I want to say $30ish?

DAY 5: HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS

We were pretty tired in the morning (we really are not night owls, and AK had us up late), but still made it to HS about a half hour before rope drop.

We went straight to DH's favorite ride, Rock n Roller Coaster, and rode it twice. Thank goodness I didn't eat breakfast yet. :crazy2:

20160825_083609.jpg 20160825_085813.jpg

I didn't get any ride photos, or do Memory Maker, but I had to include this, just because our faces say it all-
Judging by his face, you'd never guess that this is DH's favorite ride, but it is! :rotfl2:

Then we headed over to my favorite HS ride. Which DH says makes him :crazy2:. It's a trade off, I guess.

I love the theming on this attraction. So bummed they're changing it here at DL.

At this point I was used to eating like 15 times a day, and we hadn't eaten anything yet. So I was starving. We didn't have anyplace picked for lunch for HS, but we were near Starring Rolls, so we decided to try it out. I'm glad we did. Their sandwiches were good, and the desserts are delicious! We both got turkey sandwiches, DH got a fruit tart, and I got the Butterfinger cupcake that I've wanted ever since seeing photos on the Dis of it. It's massive!
I didn't think the pastries here would count as part of a QS credit dessert, but they do. I think that's a great deal. The cupcake was good, but so rich. We shared it, and still couldn't finish it.

And we explored a bit more. I love The Muppets so much, but I wish they would refresh the film, and show them some love. Each time they had a movie come out, I thought they'd give the attraction an update, but sadly, no.

By now, we were both feeling tired, and getting grumpy, so we decided to just head back to the resort. We had a few hours still until our dinner ADR. I took some more photos of the resort, and DH got a drink and relaxed.

As you can see, DH was now in a better mood, and we were ready to head over to dinner. We took the bus to Epcot, and the boat from Epcot to Beach & Yacht Club.

We got pretty turned around trying to find Cape May Cafe, but eventually we were able to find it. We were early as usual, so we headed to the lounge to have a drink. I had a raspberry mojito (minus the ginger), and DH had a Harpoon UFO. He really liked it.

We both really enjoyed the food here. I love crab legs, so I was happy. I also really loved the corn bread. I love salmon, but didn't like the salmon here. I didn't mind though since there were so many other options. Desserts are a smores parfait, flan with berries, and a key lime pastry. The second photo is the key lime, and chocolate raspberry cakey thing. The key lime pastry was so good.
I noticed at the buffets, I am finding photos of my food, but not DH's. (Boma, Biergarten, Cape May) I have no idea what happened to our food photos. We were just discussing it, and we're both positive I took photos. I'm sure I'll find them months from now out of the blue.

I bought a pineapple "smoothie" which was more like a milkshake, very thick. It ended up getting handed off to DH. I thought it had a dole whip taste to it, but he didn't agree.

We had to walk through UK and Canada to get to and from the boat. I was really trying my best to "save" World Showcase for the next day though. UK is my favorite pavilion, so I kind of put blinders on and hurried through, so I could savor it the next day. We decided to stop at Canada though and watch the film. I always love the film. It's beautiful, and Martin Short is so funny.

During the film, I felt myself start getting an anxiety attack. I know I got anxiety at AK because of the crowds, and heat, but this one was unprovoked. I get them pretty often at home, so I wasn't that surprised though. We would be back at Epcot the following day, so we just had an early night and headed back to the resort to relax.

DAY 6: EPCOT
We slept in a little, knowing that we were really just going for World Showcase, and they didn't open until later in the morning. We still got to Epcot before WS opened though, and rode SE and Soarin' again. We requested to sit in the center this time, and it was so much better. The new film really is beautiful. I know there's a lot of CGI in it, but I think it's really nicely done. This time when we rode, there was a group next to us that was riding Soarin' (new or old one) for the first time ever. It was so fun to listen to their reactions and hear them ooh-ing and aah-ing over it. There are still "smells" and the music is very similar, so I was happy they didn't stray too far from the original Soarin' feel.

I was trying to get an artsy shot of the fountains underneath the Starbucks logo. No such luck.
