We are planning a trip for April of this year and we were considering adding a day at Knotts to the end of our stay at the DLH and staying at the Knotts Berry Farm Hotel the last night or two of our trip. For those of you who have checked out Knotts Berry Farm, was it worth it? Is one day enough? Or would 2 days be better? Also, any input on the Knotts Berry Farm Hotel would be great, too! Thanks so much!!!
So here's my opinion.
Spend your time and money at
Disneyland.
If you feel you need to experience another location during your visit to DLR, go to Universal Studios Hollywood.
One of the grandkids asked to spend a day at Knott's on a trip about 5 years ago.
Now if you have a strong urge to go to Knott's, here's my recommendations.
Go at the beginning of the trip or a day in the middle of your Disneyland trip.
Do not pay full price for a ticket to Knott's. I felt cheated when I did.
My teenage grandkids only lasted 4 hours at Knott's before they asked "when are we going back to Disneyland"
Here is a link to Knott's promotion page. They have a variety of offers through out the year. Check it right before you go.

Universal Studios Hollywood is a better option if you're looking to add something to a Disney trip.
One day is okay. However, if you're trying to ride all the rides, see all the shows and take the tram tour, two days would be better.
If doing more than one day, stay up in the area around Universal.
While I prefer to end a trip at DLR, I could live with ending the trip at Universal Hollywood.
As mentioned nothing compares to Disneyland.
Good Luck
