Join us in raising funds for Give Kids the World during our 2nd annual Tastykake eating competition now titled...

The Tastykake Olympics!!!!

Tastykakes are small snack cakes that are popular in the New Jersey area. This contest will combine our love of the delectable treat with the desire to raise as much money as possible for Give Kids the World Village.​

WHEN: April 25, 2014 at Game Night & Meet 'n' Greet at NJ DIS Meet Weekend

RULES: Our contestants have three minutes to consume as many Tastykakes as possible. The person who eats the most will be declared the winner!


And now....let me introduce you to our brave, hungry eaters....

• Kevin T. (UCONNFAN's DH) aka "The Champ"
  
  
  Kevin is devilishly handsome and is known affectionately for his love of eating, video games, racquetball, and his wife, UConnFan. He is proudly known among his college buddies for his record-setting consumption of 60 pieces of sushi in one sitting. He is a Disney Convert who has not yet joined the DISboards. He loves Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin and a tasty margarita on the Boardwalk. Kevin is here to defend his Tastykake Champ title. He’s a shoe-in to win this competition, so put your money where Kevin’s mouth is.
  
  
  
• Kim M. (KimStaR) aka "Lil Kim"
  
  Kim is 30 years old and hails from Manalapan, NJ. She is a registered nurse by day, but Fly Girl by night. She has been visiting WDW since the age of 3 and has been over 20 times since. Her favorite resorts are the Poly, Yacht Club, and Contemporary. Kim's favorite thing to do at Walt Disney World is eat! She plans her trips around food and is frequently visiting the "Food Porn" thread and the Disney Food Blog. One of her favorite podcast segments is the Dining Reviews. Boma Breakfast and Kona Cafe breakfast are a few of her favorite spots. Kim has been known to clean her plate before her husband, Ian, takes two bites and then stares at his food waiting for him to give up. Although she is little, Kim thinks of herself as a bottomless pit. Watch out boys!
  
  
  
• James C. (Cayz) aka "Crazy Cat Dude"
  
  People at work call me the Big Man Around Campus. All Around Campus, at the Same Time. For me, 12 Tastykakes is an appetizer before a Bacon Double Cheese Double Quarter Pounder meal (Large, with a Diet).
  
  
  
• Bonnie H. (BonnieMB) aka "Brenda Almond" - International Competitor!
  
  I'm the world's fastest Tim bit (Canadian donut holes) eater from the northern tundra. I lost my front teeth in a freak hockey accident. Makes eating faster. I've come to take the title home to the Great White North - like the Canadians did with all those hockey medals!!! I'll have the sled dogs hitched up and ready to go!!!

Those who are attending the NJ DIS Meet Weekend's Game Night (Friday, April 25) will have a chance to "sponsor" their favorite contestant. Sponsorships start at $5. The winning contestant will receive five extra tickets to our auction basket raffle at the Main Event on Saturday, April 26. Those who "sponsored" the winner will receive three extra tickets! It's a win-win!!!

We can only have one donation "ticket type" per event- so here is how you support your contestant(s):

2. Enter the code NJDISMEET
3. At the bottom of the page- choose "Donation/Tastykake Olympics"
4. Enter the dollar amount of your donation
5. In the Registration section- Enter your name and email (for billing)
6. In the "Attendee" box- your email again BUT enter the first name and last initial of the person you are supporting.
7. You can leave most of the other boxes blank, except for DIS Board Name- enter your board name or "none".

I really hope this isn't too complicated.
We want this to be a fun, friendly way for people who can't be with us in NJ that weekend to still participate in this terrific (and hilarious!!) event!
There is no minimum for your donation- just keep it in whole dollars please.

I picked up a two-pack from our snack room, and ate them for the first time in several years.

Sat down with a bottle of water, opened them up, and 10 seconds later - one down. Another 10 seconds - the second one.

They're good. And not really filling.

So, 1 every ten seconds, for 3 minutes... 18? Unlikely, but maybe.

Gonna pick up a 24pk tonight or tomorrow from Sam's Club.
I'll video it... I'll stop when I get to 10.
