Take a morning or afternoon to get off of the strip and see the real Las Vegas area.

Wild Bill's is reopening soon I believe.

If you have time and want to escape Las Vegas for a day, you could make a day trip of going to Valley of Fire, Zion National Park, or Death Valley. However, Death Valley is a bit "challenging" to visit in the summer due to the heat. Fall to late winter are probably the ideal time to visit.
