One Day, Both Parks: Possible or Crazy?

I'm in the planning stages of a HUGE trip to France. At this point I've tentatively put down a day at Disneyland Paris. Since we would only have 1 day I would want to do both parks. We're 2 adults so we're fine with going hard core, open to close. Not wanting to stay on-site (not in the budget).

It would be a Friday in early July. Don't need to see everything, just some of the highlights & any rides that are unique to DP.

We were there in early July this year. 2 days, 2 parks. It was really hot, it was really crowded. We didn't managed to see everything on these two days and were stressed and tired.

Then again: we were there last week. The whole week and we easily managed to do both parks on one day. Not so crowded, not so hot. And we weren't there for the first time. We knew our way around this time.

So yes, you can do both parks in one day. But only if you are focussing on few attractions/shows and if you can deal with the weather.

Looking online, average temps in July are in the 70s-80s. We're from Texas so even if its in the mid-90s we will be fine. Not terribly thrilled with crowds but if its a necessary evil, that's OK.

Possible, but it will be crowded. Make an overview of everything you want to see/do and focus on this. Probably best strategy is to skip everything you have seen at other parks and possibly skip shows/parade unless they are a priority.

Look into the option to buy FP for some rides, it is called Onepass. (Currently still on trial?)

IMO it's very do-able. We did one day, both parks this past August on a very busy day, with really high heat (they were having their crazy heat wave). Now we did stay one night on site so we could get early entry into Studios to ride Crush's right away (since it has slow lines and no Fast Pass), but you might be able to manage it with single rider line (still a sizable wait)

But we were able to get through the following:

Studios:

Crush's
Ratatouille
Rock n Roller Coaster
Tower of Terror (x2, we hopped back to studios later in the day for a second ride)

DLP:

Indiana Jones Coaster
Pirates
Small World
Big Thunder Mountain (Fast Pass #1)
Hyperspace Mountain (Fast Pass #2)
Star Tours x2 (once with FastPass #3, Once Without)

We also toured through areas that had no wait times like Alice's Labyrinth and the Nautilus Ship

We were a family of 4 with 2 boys who like the more thrilling rides, so we didn't do any "princess stuff" and skipped the more "younger kids" rides, but we felt we got to do everything we wanted (minus Phantom Manor as it was closed).

And this was all by 5:30 pm. With the extreme heat going on, we were exhausted by this time and decided we had enough. France normally isn't crazy hot in the summer, so if you're planning on doing rope drop to close, IMO both parks are very do-able in one day if you're efficient and don't need to see/do absolutely everything.
