Can I have your opinion please...

Which one would you choose the CONCOURSE STEAKHOUSE or the Yachtsman Steakhouse???

Thanks :thumbsup2

I have not been to the Yachtsman Steakhouse.

I have been to the Concourse Steakhouse and thought that it was very good.

Also...the Concourse Steakhouse is a bit of a "limited edition" kinda place at the moment. They are eventually going to take that restaurant out and re-do the fourth floor / Grand Canyon Concourse.

From what we hear.....and keep in mind that any or all of this can change......they are expanding Chef Mickey's a bit and adding something called Chef Mickey's Express where the Outer Rim Bar is now located.

The area where the Concourse Steakhouse is will be come the new "fast food" area.

We also hear that the lobby is slated for a big overhaul. What was the Food and Fun Center will become a "fusion" restaurant named the Wave. The coffee bar across from the Check in Desk will move to the back wall neat the restrooms.

The area where the coffee bar is now and the waiting area (behind the elevator bank) will all be re-done. The statue of Mickey shaking hands with Stokowski will be moved and a waterfall of some sort will be put in that area.

Again....please keep in mind that this can / might / will / maybe change.

So I guess my short answer after my long answer would be...try the Concourse Staekhouse.....you might not get another chance and what can cooler than eating dinner with the monorail going over your head.

Something else to keep in mind....every floor above the second floor has a staircase landing on the Magic Kingdome end of building. They are all great places to watch the fireworks.

One more thing...and I think this is WAY COOL (no puns intended) is that the big grid covering the windows at each end of the Concourse is actually the air conditioning system for the Concourse. The designers wanted it to be unnoticeable so they sort put it in your face. Look closely and you will see that there is a vent at each junction.....if you get close enough you can feel the cold air coming out of it. Neat huh?

Thanks for the info Kevin.:thumbsup2 I just made our ADRS at the Concourse for 9/1. :cool1: :cool1:

Just a note - if you ever do make it over to the Yachtsman Steakhouse, have the lobster bisque. I've had it twice and it was so wonderful. I had the lamb once and a steak the other time both great, but it's the bisque that will bring me back.

My analysis of the restaurants I have eaten at.

I have done both and teh yachtsmen is really good. I have to say I have also enjoyed the concouse on 2 occassions and thats great to.

Concourse was DS's favorite restaurant during our last visit. When I was doing ADRs for our upcoming trip it was the only place he specifically requested.

I've been to both. I prefer the Yachtsman to the Concourse. I found the menu had more to offer. I'm not a big steak person but did prefer the food at Yachtsman.
